Early Access Review
Smite 2 has come a long way in a relatively short time frame. I could see a year from now the game is leaps and bounds better than Smite 1 ever could be. Even right now the game feels really good and comparing to Smite 1, bugs and exploits get fixed in record time. The "plus ones" to gods turn boring bad gods into ones that are really fun and impact-full. Gods I hated in Smite 1 I love in Smite 2 (Like Geb and Cupid). The item system is maybe my favorite change from the two games. Having no item restrictions anywhere means you can build however you want. You could even make crit Baron (not that you should). And Active items are some of the most fun I've had playing Smite (please let us build more than 3).

To the elephant in the room, I don't really care about the skins from Smite 1. The people complaining about their skins not transferring to a whole new game on a vastly different engine are delusional or simply do not understand at all the jump from UE3 to UE5, and should just move on. The game just isn't for you anymore and that's okay. It's a video game. I'm not upset my gun skins from Black Ops 2 didn't transfer to Black Ops 3, because I understood it is just a skin in a video game. In an alternate universe where Smite 2 was never made Smite 1 would be dead within 2-3 years and those skins would be gone anyway. At least in this universe I get to enjoy Smite, but better in every way.
