Early Access Review
I played it a bit, not much meat, returned it. I'll pick it up when it's what we've been waiting many many MANY moons for.

They completely changed the game. This is literally a different game than the one I purchased. I found the old game more fun, but I guess that's personal preference. Not recommending against this because again this is an entirely different game now so

This is the beginning of the end. First it's KFC with a quirky fun game that makes you LOL, and then it's McDonalds and Wendys and EVERY OTHER CORPORATE ENTITY MAKING INTERACTIVE ADS IN ORDER TO MAKE YOU CARE ABOUT THEM MORE SO THEY GET MORE MONEY DON'T FALL FOR IT IT'S A TRAP RUN AWAY

But I enjoyed the hour I spent on this game, mostly. Ending is sub-par, but eh it's about the journey and the journey was pretty enjoyable

I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love this controller.

This is my favorite controller. It definitely takes some time to get used to, and it most definitely has a learning curve, but it's a pc player's wet dream. This bad mamba jamba allows you to sit back, relax, and play just about any type of game without having to sit at a keyboard. I get the comfort of a console player with the power of my PC!

You have to keep in mind though, this controller is a device. Like your phone or a drone or a roomba or anything high tech nowadays, it takes some setup.
In order to play a game, you have to go through and manually bind every key that the game uses to a button, or set of buttons, on the controller. At first this is a fairly daunting task, but once you learn it, it's not that difficult.

Don't want to do that? I don't blame you! I don't wanna do that ♥♥♥♥ either! The saving grace of this controller is that other people can and do upload their control configurations to steam (and other websites), which you can try out and then customize how you see fit! It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bananas! I love it! Take a minute to apply a control scheme, fiddle with it a bit, then spend ~5-10 minutes playing the game and figuring out what you want to change, change as you go, badda bing badda boom Bob's your uncle and you've got the perfect control scheme for you!

Some people claim that it isn't very good for FPS games. That depends. I usually use either Mouse or Mouse-Joystick config for my right touchpad, adjust the sensitivity in game, and roll with it. You can even set it to lower the sensitivity while aiming (which I usually do). It still takes a minute to get used to the config in-game but eventually I learn my config and I'm good to go.

It's well worth noting that I usually don't play competitive multiplayer shooters with my steam controller (well, I don't usually play them at all, honestly). I tend to stick to single player FPS like Singularity (check it out!), Prey (CHECK IT OUT!), Dishonored (Must I say it again?), and Hitman. I also play PVE multiplayer FPS like Earth Defense Force (mega fun)!

P.S. This controller's keyboard is hands-down the best controller keyboard input I've ever used. Typing is fast and easy.

Valve please don't give up on a second iteration. Once my steam controller inevitably stops working, I'll cry.

Tenno, I need you to board that Corpus ship and steal some information vital to our cause. The staff on-board aren't going to just let you do that, though, so you're going to have to murder them.

Well, not all of them, just the ones that get in the way. Okay, yeah, sometimes it's all of them, but that's hit or miss.

What do you mean that doesn't seem right? It's fiiine, we're the good guys! Oh, and don't forget to smash open their storage containers to loot what's inside. Oh, and the lockers too! They're all being killed, so they won't even miss anything.

Yes, all of them, we've been over this, Tenno! It's okay! You're a hero! Heroes get dirty sometimes it's like whatever, it doesn't even matter! Just get to extraction already, your next target is a Grineer nun.

This game is a fun, free to play game where you play as a robot ninja wizard, in space. It's got multitudes of different weapons and companions to choose from, and you can even build your own if you like. There are super cool necramechs to stomp around and murder in, as well as plenty of different warframes to play as. You can take the helm of your own space ship and pilot it in real-time space battles with other ships, too. Tired of the tunnel-esq mission design? Hop into one of three open worlds to take care of some bounties. Or, if you'd like to take some time away from the battlefield, feel free to go on a fishing trip, or hop into the mines to get some minerals and gemstones.

You can customize literally everything in this game. It's fantastic. It's a free game, but you're going to want to give them money for the customization options alone, trust me. You don't have to, though. You can crack relics to get prime parts to trade to other players for platinum (the main cosmetic/optionals currency).

One tip: You get 50 starting platinum. It's super tempting to buy a scarf/cape thing. Don't do it (I did lol)! It's a good idea to save that to purchase warframe/weapon/companion slots when you need them. Slots are cheap, and you can also earn them in-game, but they're super necessary. I got sick of managing slots (sold a trinity prime to free the slot many moons ago), so I bought platinum on-sale & just buy slots as I need them now. I'm happy to support the devs & buy accessories, too, so it all works out. :)

This game doesn't entirely make sense to me. Here are a few things I've noticed roughly 5 hours in:

To interact with things you hold E and the game makes your character slowly reposition to get into the right place to do it

The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ door of the HQ takes AGES to open
(walk up, hold E, wait for character reposition, wait for keypad animation, wait roughly 4 seconds, door slides open)

Everything is "hacker"-esq, but in a cringey/cheesey sort of way

One of the songs on the radio goes like this "drink all the booze, hack all the things!" x8
(this is when I had to close the game, it got to be too much for me)

DedSec just brands all of their ♥♥♥♥, I thought they like didn't want to get arrested, why are they wearing DedSec merch

Cops frequently just like leave their cruisers and go off and do their own thing after an interaction

Car driving physics are like they were in the first one, although they are definitely improved, but I just personally prefer GTA handling

I realize these are small complaints, but after a while they sort of wear down the edges. Also the cheesey hacker ♥♥♥♥ gets reeeally tiresome very fast.

The game IS fun though, but so far not worth $20 in my eyes.
