I honestly can’t see why people praise this game. It’s super frustrating, controls are sluggish and the game is also full of artificial playtime extenders (collectibles, uninteresting challenges etc). The sections in 2D are ok, but the third person ones are crazily bad. Your worst enemy is camera and hit boxes, together with bad game design choices. Maybe the console version was better and it’s just a bad pc port, dunno. I played it on steam deck, and the game feels very bad on its controller. Not to mention bizarre bugs and freezes. Oh yeah, the frame rate and resolution are very low, doesn’t matter what machine you’re running the game on. Don’t buy this and stay away, honestly.
Maybe the remake is better, I dunno.

I can't believe how good this remake is. I almost cried when I saw the first sequences. Surprisingly, Bloober team left untouched the best aspects of the og and improved what had to be improved. The game looks fantastic and sounds horifying. The battles are super intense. I think SH2R is the best entry point to the series. We finally got a good Silent Hill game again. We are so home, brothers and sisters.

A very experimental and I'd say art house visual novel in the same vein as Eraserhead movie or House of Leaves book. The story (a detective drama mostly) deals with topics of getting old, mental issues, trauma, the past and the essence of reality itself.
Becket has a fantastic yet experimental presentation: the whole game reminds a collage of static analog elements, ancient cinema pieces, some stop-motion. THis approach is highly impressionistic and feels like a early 20th century German impressionist film and a board game at the same time.
In terms of writing style and the plot this is for the fans of Disco Elysium and probably disturbing projects by Harvester Games.
Highly recommended if you tolerate indie and art house scene. Will take no more than 2,5 hours and it's actually a visual novel so there's no way to stuck.

Literally one of the best indie horror games ever made. Just grab and play it, and don’t spoil. You’ll be rewarded.

Дуже крутий експериментальний сторітелінг на стику горору, сайфаю та трилера. Я б радив грати всліпу, не читаючи гайдів, гра досить проста, але експірієнс вражаючий.

An amazing old-school action platformer Metroidvania-style game with light puzzle elements. It features a cute cat, a simple but engaging story and an unexpected ending (at least it was like that for me). The graphics are simple yet stylish, and the controls are gorgeous. I mean it, the game is smooth, every retro platformer should feel like this game. Plays amazingly well on a Steam Deck (I believe this game was one of the most comfortable on a Steam Deck in my experience, especially considering old-school style maps design and hitboxes). And the soundtrack, oh my gosh, it suits so well to the sci-fi CAT narrative!
Highly recommended, especially considering a whole walkthrough will take up to 3.5 hours.

A great Dungeons and Dragons style RPG, with heavy reading material and lots of spells (which description you gonna read most of the time just before casting). It is heavily iinspired by Baldur's Gate and Planesape, and even feels a bit nostalgic. I had a bit of hard time diving into it but once I did, the game started to shine for real. Recommended if you are ready to read a lot and spend a lot of time on character screen and item/spells description.

A very well crafted old school shooter in the style of Blood, but with some modern twists. Feels exactly like the old school shooters, but some aspects of modern game design are present as well. The game starts to shine starting on Stage 4 I guess (Asylum grounds and everything after), so if you are into this kind of games, wait for it.
As a fan of Blood, I liked this a lot and will play the sequel DLC when it's out.

While having some irritating flaws and being imbalanced occasionally, Nier: Automata is an amazingly cosy game with outstanding art direction (not to mention the celestial soundtrack!). The game's story has been praised since its release, so you probably already know about it since you are here.
Personally, while not feeling a powerful emotional connection towards the characters, I enjoyed every second of the story. It's interesting and immersive and very detailed. While I knew I won't get back to the game sometime soon, I already miss the amazing world of Nier: Automata.

In short, it totally worth your time. Be sure to complete the first five 'routes' and don't consider any of the credit sequences as an ending. It's better to think of the routes as episodes of the story. (I was terrified when I heard I have to complete the game five times to reach the true ending, but it's not exactly how it works, the game is just separated into episodes for storytelling purposes).

PS. Don't ignore side quests in route B as I did. While most of them are pretty boring, I found myself under-levelled at the beginning of Route C (I was level 36 or so). If you wish to complete the game on Normal difficulty or higher, it's crucial.

One of the best FPS games ever made.
Of course, the game shows it's age, but only in terms of graphics + this remaster is the best possible. It seems they refactored the whole game, so it looks the same way it used to, but is gorgeously adapted onto modern systems.
The music is hypnotic and scary, the flow is fast and adrenaline-filled. The level design is amazing. The whole game's aesthetics is crazy, based on dark humor and wholesome.
Just play it, especially if you like retro games.

PS. Please ignore the intro CGI movie, it is horrible lol.
