I'm blasting the OST as I read fanfiction of the series because I can't get enough of how well put the worldbuilding is. Even after playing the previous 8 games, I still don't want it to end - there are so many characters to love and moments to cherish.

I have never experienced a series where I've ugly cried, cringed, laughed and gone through an entire spectrum of emotion multiple times over and over again.

If you love JRPGs, value character progression, and crave a fantastic soundtrack, you need to start Trails.

Cold Steel IV serves as the end to epic first half to the series with the next game serving as a bridge to clean up plot holes and future titles.

There's nowhere to go but forward, relentlessly.

I've had a Runescape account since 2008 and it is a game that grows with you. If you enjoy long grinds and care more about the journey than the endgame, then the current modern Runescape is the MMORPG for you. If you prefer a little more tedium and grind, I would recommend the "Old School" version of the game where a little deliberate lack of QoL creates a unique and distinctively "classic" RPG gameplay loop.

Modern Runescape is the perfect second screen game as the gameplay does not require your full attention most of the time - a little like an idle game, but not quite, perfect for binging Netflix or winding down to. To get the full Runescape experience as intended, I would highly suggest creating an "Ironman" character, a self-sufficient playstyle that sets you free from in my opinion, the game's biggest weakness: the economy.

In doing so, you're able to experience en ever-growing decade's worth of content and systems as it was meant to be approached without the mentality of economy and buying power with in-game gold. However, if you prefer that playstyle, Runescape does it quite well too and both are just as equally fun and well worth your time.

A bit slow, but very immersive and atmospheric. Enough pacing to be a little stressful (as a horror game should) with some moments of legitimately trippy eye-candy on the side. Powerful horror influences from Blade Runner and Cronenburg.

If you're willing to put in the time to seriously improve your aim then this is it. However, take note that you'll need to follow a strict training routine of roughly 1.5 hours daily or something of the sort. As such, I very highly recommend reading and understanding Aimer7's guide which is just a google away. The guides that Aimer7 has contributed to the FPS scene truly illustrates and elaborates on the nuances and intricacies that many high-level FPS players employ and very honestly, pretty much make KovaaK's worth your money alone.

It can be hard to fully commit to long-term improvement over a daily routine, so all in all, I would recommend purchasing KovaaK's during a Steam sale.

TL;DR: Buy during sale, and read up on Aimer7's guides. Set a routine and then expect the improvement to settle in over time.

A very modern and bold take on the CRPG genre (Finally, a Pathfinder game! - We've had too much Dungeons & Dragons). While it is troubled by some odd design choices like sluggish world map travel and an encumberance mechanic that gets in the way if your character lacks strength, these issues can be solved through the customizable difficulty settings or with mods.

The open-world, semi-linear gameplay in a CRPG is something that Kingmaker boasts and it really shows you the scope of the game as you can sequence break freely, but make meaningful progress. However, one must take the effort to learn the ruleset / system of Kingmaker to truly get the most out of this game, a min/max dream to those who are interested but a definite turn off to those who prefer simple straightforwardness.

If Kingmaker is your first CRPG, expect a learning curve. Luckily, the game is very friendly in terms of calculations and dice rolls, telling you exactly where and how your numbers come from - a must for learning the system required to get the most out of it.

All in all, very long and satisfying game worth your time if you're looking for a rich single-player CRPG timesink.
