Only issue I have with the game is the EGS Acheivements locking out your mouse movement for like, 10 seconds and the desync can be wild. if they can fix it, its just as, if not more fun as the previous titles. Loads of QoL changes to the classes.

Imagine paying $60+ every few months to lose content and get it replaced with basically the exact same thing with a different coat of paint.

My PC is more than capable of running the game, but due to reasons beyond my mortal comprehension, the game refuses to launch. It opens the splash screen, then proceeds to sit there for 2-3 minutes and does many of multiple things. From causing all my monitors to go black, seizing my PC, giving me "Program exception" errors that seem to never get fixed, and when one of them are, it gives me another one; I've tried everything under the sun and my ability to make this game run, from uninstalling other programs that supposedly cause issue, uninstalling or disabling Anti-Virus software and Windows Defender, Troubleshooting, everything.

Nothing seems to ever get this game past the splash screen and when it does get past it, it blacks out my monitor and disables my mouse and keyboard. I don't know what else to do, how else to fix it, or if its even my fault that it doesn't work, but I can say with utmost certainty that as much fun as this game looks; It's far more problematic and a chore to even get working if you can even get to that point without it crashing. Maybe I should've bought the Microsoft Store version... Or maybe Microsoft should learn how to make a better product that doesn't require you to jump through hoops in hopes that you MIGHT get to play the game you paid $40, $60, or even $100 for. The plethora of problems this game has for some people and the time and energy it takes to fix them far outweighs the reason to buy it. Maybe a hotfix or update might fix this game, but seeing how this is a 3-year-old game... It's absolutely ludicrous that it has any of these problems to begin with. For Christ sake, I'd honestly just rather have them make it so the Steam version sends you straight to the Microsoft Store/Game Bar (Similarly to State of Decay 2) if it meant I'd be able to at least launch, and more importantly PLAY, the product I paid for.

Update: So, the memory leak and other problems I had were solved not buy an update to the game, but a windows update. Not sure why that unfudged the entire thing but, there it is. The Steam version is still incredibly unstable, but if they can get the problems sorted, it is a very fun game.
