A collection of good, short horror games all made by the same person. Most focus more on psychological horror with PS1 style graphics.

A very short but absolutely amazing experience... I wish there was a Nick Beard 2, I want to downvote cringe redditors into oblivion again.

8/10

I am by no means an expert, but I thoroughly enjoyed this game and do recommend it. In ~3 hours I was able to 100% it, so it doesn't have an extensive playtime, but it does have tonnes of replay ability and eight different endings. I am astonished that the creator of this game was a single person, and respect them greatly for it. I did not encounter any bugs in my playtime, and felt like it was put together quite well. I do believe this game is more of a psychological horror and suspense builder with a very gritty feel from the art and dynamics rather than your standard slasher. I love the retro UI, music, audio, and movement system this game has, using a tile based map you navigate on, while still marking important things so you aren't completely lost. I also love the visuals and cutscenes with the characters, it absolutely fits in perfectly. When you play this game going in cold, you do feel alone and spooked, which can be difficult with a game like this. The story is very good for such a short game, and comes a full circle without leaving many loose ends.
TL;DR
Things I Loved

Full, complete story.
Lovely feel, UI, visuals, and audio.
Made by a single creator.
No bugs/issues.
<= 3 hours playtime, depending on your style and completion rate.
Music cuts out immediately during chase, which adds to the suspense.

Things I Disliked

(I didn't hate anything in this game)
Shorter playtime (I personally thought it was well rounded, but some people could desire more)
Maybe add more visually disturbing things(?) (Not necessarily gore, just something to add to the suspension more, I want to feel like I'm there.)

A Personal Message to the Developer

Maldo19,
You have made a lovely game, and to do it as a single developer makes the game, in my opinion, even better. To spend sleepless nights working on it, stressing on it, takes a certain level of dedication. I'm very glad you stuck with it and released it, and hope you decide to do more games in the future. You can do nothing but improve. :)

There is little to no content to this game, <3 minutes and no plot. I paid $1.99 for this and I do not recommend it in the slightest.

I give this game a 7/10

This game has some issues, such as relying too much on not great jumpscares, jumpcuts that will give you whiplash, unnecessarily loud noises to catch the player off guard, and items needed to progress being difficult to locate; the last can get very repetitive very quickly.

This game has a solid and complex story that is good for it's price, a good original song accompanying it (Astral by Weezlack, who also did the music for Locked Up and Summer of '58. Definitely one of my favourite upcoming composers), and has a very nice mood of being dark and depressing. This game doesn't have that much content, ~2-3 hours but I would recommend it, as it's a fun and enjoyable experience, regardless of it being short.

I also feel like the clown situation in game is a copy of AHS Season 4 with the Twisted Clown, but that's just my two cents

Siren Head Awakening
Things I Like About This Game

The multiple endings to this game are lovely, I love a horror game with multiple endings. Especially the self sacrificing ending where you also kill Siren Head. The UI was well designed and minimalistic. I didn't experience any crashes or glitches in my four hours of gameplay, so I feel the game is a stable and good build. The music complimented the atmosphere, and I feel did a solid job in building suspense, which is one of the few things this game has going for it, is atmosphere and suspense.

Things I Dislike About This Game

This game feels like it took too much inspiration from Slender The Eight Pages, as it is a very linear fetch game, without very much variation in the spawn location in the four car parts or in the four survivor notes. There is very little content for this game, as I was able to 100% it in four hours, and it wasn't even a speedrun.
Siren Head as a character was decently designed in this game, I believe having more than just one siren noise would serve this game good for their character, along with an actual kill animation rather than just black screening when they catch you. I also believe that Siren Head just isn't intimidating enough, the game builds suspense on the idea of all you can't defend yourself at all similar to Outlast (and later showing in the fifth secret note that guns don't work against them, as the handgun found in the bunker was next to the note.) as that you have only a flashlight at your disposal, and can only run and hide when found, but then doesn't strike any actual fear into the player when they are spotted, as they can just out sprint Siren Head.
I also feel the map could've stood to have been a bit bigger, and more variation in spawn location in the items, along with some more content overall to give the game more personality and make it more memorable.

Final Thoughts

This game is very rough, but I like it overall, however, I would not recommend this game to someone who wants an actually scary experience. I urge the creator to continue to make games, as I personally enjoyed this one, and look forward to playing any future games made by them, but also ask them to be open to suggestions from fans and just add more content into their games.

It's a good trip down memory lane, I wouldn't recommend paying full price for it, like any other Activision game.

I hate this game so much. It's taken so much from me. 10/10 would play again.
