To all the people complaining about the difficulty spike in the tutorial mission, Welcome to Armored Core. In Armored Core you have generally 3-4 types of enemies. Drones and MTs are fodder, one shot targets that most npcs use. Then you have ACs, which are basically like you but AI controlled. They have similar hp levels and weapons you do and thus are harder to take down. Then you have Bosses which can be anything from a suped up AC on steroids and meth to giant monstrosities of metal and guns. This is Normal. Do not be alarmed when you go from "Awe this is easy" to "Oh God it's tearing my eyes out". This is normal. Also do not be confused why your Dash boost doesn't save you when trying to dash through a cloud of missiles. There are no invulnerability frames in Armored Core. Be glad you actually have a dash boost. The older games did not all have that. Use it to jook missiles by going sideways or to quickly change directions. Above all else jeep this in mind, You will get hit. There is no avoidance of this fact. You just need to learn how to minimize those hits. If you come out of a mission spending more cash on ammo than repairs its a good day. Also don't let my limited play time fool you. I only managed to play the first two missions yesterday after getting out of the unpacking lobby nightmare but I still managed to get through them mostly unscathed. Partly due to these new fangled things called repair packs, a feature that was not native to Armored Core's previous games. Also for those having issues there's a trick that works still today that has worked before called Bunny Hopping. It's a bit different in its execution now but the concept is the same. Dash boost+Jump -> recharge a bit -> Repeat. Combine this with some fancy footwork and you won't have to worry as much about the sluggish projectiles.

PS: For those having problems with the bullet spongey heli in the tutorial... it's got a near fatal allergy to energy swords.

Loving the game so far. The stealthy hacker style is really fun but there is one really annoying problem with this game's play style. Grenades are not a stealthy option. So why is it that Throw Grenade is the same button as Tag Enemy (for watching)? "Use Combat Gadget". Great. I recommend changing this option to something else.... Like G for instance if you are using mouse and keyboard. Having it default the same is not helpful to the sneaky sneak playstyle! Accidentally dropping a grenade at my feet when trying to tag a victim I'm wanting to track has lead to to many accidental deaths and forced nasty save scumming because it throws everything off.

Great game for those who love animals and/or those who love building. Highly modable and great replayability because of it.

Despite the many bad reviews claiming this is a "Bad Port" compared to the PS4 version (I have both) this one runs far smoother, far faster and has very short loading screens. It should be stated that you might want a controller for it but honestly if you set up mouse and keyboard right it can work just fine. That said I would recomend not using a Steam Controller on it as the right pad is far to sensetive for this game. At the moment of this writting there are some issues with connectivity and multiplayer but this is to be expected. and should be fixed in a short while. As for the DLC and what not its not an important thing. It does give players an ability to help support the company more but it is not needed in the slightest. You wont "Win the game" With a gesture though you might try to challenge mode it. They released new content roughly every month since its release on PS4 and they have plans to bring those to PC as well. This "New Content" was completely free.

And let me just reiterate that the game is absolutely gorgeous and so mych smoother than the PS4 release. (Potato PCs should not apply). It also does not require a PS+ account to play with friends. Get the game if you want fun that lasts for many many hours after the "Story" ends. Let the whiny ones cry. There are monsters to slay and capture.
