Schell Games absolutely kills it again. Great game, arcade-y but immersive, and fun to play.

Buy it. Duh.

A silent hill style vr game would be a no-brainer for horror fans.

Unfortunately the game slips up so much, it's extremely difficult to give it a pass.

First, the technical issues. Sound completely cut out multiple times, framerate dips (especially when turning or when animations are playing. The game just looks ugly. If the entire game was PS1/PS2 graphics, it would fit the theme! I'd PAY to be in a silent hill game! However the developers throw ugly PS1 style rooms in with PS2-era models and some of these are even attached to each other! It sticks out like a sore thumb and it just looks like a bad student project. This is a great idea, I'm just not paying anywhere near $25 for a student project. Let alone a sloppy one.

Much less hackers, hit-reg issues are much less common.

It's an idea that's already been done a few times, but having it in a sleek game really does bring the idea to life. Nice music "Chill beats to write to." Touching requests for a letter. It feels amazing to help others with their problems. Even if it's just to say "you're not alone," or "I've been there before. It gets better." It's cathartic in a way anonymous letters just weren't before. A great buy.

I guess my only complaint is not being able to respond to responses? They can send a sticker back to let you know they've read and liked your response. But some of these letters were so deep and personal, I almost want to continue helping. Either way. Amazing game. Great execution of design.

Garbage. How far the COD franchise has fallen.

Thematically: Garbage. Lootboxes and gear ruins the WW2 theme constantly. Nothing is more disrespectful than finishing a round and seeing the top scorers on a mound of rubble while war rages behind them, then one of the players starts dancing. Disrespectful and just plain stupid.

Gameplay: Garbage. Not only are scopes unlockable/operate like laser sights, they're customizable. Automatic snipers. Nothing about the themes in this game are consistent. Weapons are stupid underpowered in the beginning and some border on stupid overpowered at the end. I mean, I know this is COD and all. But having some idiot jumping around with a flame shotgun and have top-frags is the dumbest thing I've ever seen in a COD game.

Netcode: Bronze star (Play of the game) constantly shows someone dying to a shot that was nowhere near them. Or a headshot that registered when their elbow was shot or something. Still optimized for consoles. Less hacking than other titles, so I'll give them that. Otherwise, Garbage.

Story Mode: Meh. I usually play through story mode first, but found this one really boring.

Save your money for CoD 2k20 this one is and will always be garbage.

"Extremely Japanese, Over the top action, comedy, drama and satire, worth the price."

Fair word of warning, this is one of those games where you're going to be playing a good hour or two of story missions before you get to the AWESOME mini-games. Treat yourself and watch some YouTube videos of the Karaoke, model car races or hostess missions. The main mission rides a line between tongue-and-cheek satirical and telenovela style drama. It's clever and dumb at the same time. Asking you to shut up and stop thinking about it but at the same time enjoy some pretty enjoyable characters and cut-scenes. Oh boy, are there cut-scenes. I personally enjoyed a good amount of them, but I will admit some players might find it excessive. They are skippable, however.

The combat is a model example of difficult/rewarding. Different bosses have multiple combo variations to catch the player off guard. In the beginning, you feel dread when a mini-boss or boss waltzes into a cut-scene. You panic, wondering if you have enough healing items to hack your way through this. Unfortunately... Later in the game you're going to have enough upgrades to scoff off most of these fights. Even if you completely suck at the fighting, you can purchase weapons that can give you a huge handicap. Sometimes taking three bars off of a four health-bar fight. It's a fun ride, I just wish the end-game was much more challenging. However, the visuals and ending are pretty awesome. Great jumping on entry for newbies to the series. If this wasn't a re-release, it would be my GOTY.

So there's been a lot of improvements to this game. It's no longer on client-side servers, crossplay between consoles, and a few more DLC packs have been added.

Unfortunately, the game is still hot garbage. It's incredible how much effort the devs have put in but will still not acknowledge gameplay mechanics that make the game miserable to play. Especially for beginners.

I used to say "The game is a little rough, but can be fun if you stick with it." But now it's just pure garbage that relies on its core fanbase to buy DLC, cosmetics and battle-passes to keep it afloat. Face-camping is still a thing, nobody wants to play killer so enjoy waiting ten minutes for a match IF you find one, the new perks always suck and add virtually nothing to the game because the same overpowered perks are still a problem! Instead of fixing core problems, devs give some lame "working as intended" speech. Which roughly translates to "If it's not an idea for DLC or a cosmetic, we can't be bothered." I can't convince my friends to play more than once, since every game has a killer that will face camp or do that annoying thing where they walk away then immediately come back and face camp. I can't even blame the killers because it sucks either way! Stop playing this game! Behaviour should be out of business with the garbage.

Zygote pilot was amazing. This may be the title that gets me into Steam streaming.
