I mostly play TMUF, not this game. But the amount of negative reviews and motives behind them are baffling enough to leave this review.

The motives for the negative reviews are: game's subscription plan, and... Nothing else. Literally nothing else, because this is a GREAT game. It has online ranked, seasonal campaigns, training, daily tournaments, dedicated servers, a relatively small yet very welcoming community and a stupid amount of player made tracks.

The only downside to all of this, is that you have to spend 10 bucks (or 30 if you care about skins) PER YEAR. Does that sound that crazy? Sure, they could have had those micro-transaction schemes as other games usually do, but even then...

You can try the game and play campaign maps and even ranked for free. If you like this game enough to play for a few months, what is 10 usd in that timespan? Nothing. You won't regret it, because the content you get for it is worth it. I've paid 60 usd for games I played and beated in 2 weeks and never came back, this is honestly a no-brainer and I don't understand how people can be so mad about it.

Early Access Review
As a puzzle enthusiast I was looking forward to this game, and while I'm not dissapointed, there were some negative aspects I should point out. I understand this game isn't finished by any means and I do support launching a free pre-alpha version.

I feel like the sandboxy "play around stuff" to learn the mechanics isn't good for this game. There are some things like the "time control / freeze" aspect of the cubes which has to be tutorialized in some way, as it's not intuitive enough. Same goes with softlocks and dropping down into the abyss to go back to the main area.

Controls are too floaty and sometimes non responsive. Cubes feel like clouds and moving them around is painful at times. There are times where I left cubes in certain areas only to go back and find out they dissapeared, and they also bug a lot when you move them through portals.

I played the first 3 puzzles, they were good, but I don't personally love standing on cubes while moving them around a map.

The game runs worse than Portal 2 in my laptop, and I don't think that's justified. There's also a minor spanish translation detail which says "Levels" instead of "Niveles" in the main menu.

On the good side of things, the game's ambience is pretty cool, it does give some chill vibes while you play and the mechanics are interesting. I wouldn't mind going back to this game if some of the issues I pointed out get fixed.

Celeste was a pleasant surprise. I slept on this game because I wasn´t very fond of the visuals (big pixels for the most part). However, I have to say this game has some great features. Nice music, as it always fits the atmosphere. There's an actual story behind each chapter, which motivates you to get through the level. Mechanics are solid. There are only a few ones yet you can go fast if you perform them correctly. You can try to collect all the strawberries, you can try to clear each chapter with no deaths (gl with that), you can speedrun, etc. I can´t compare it with other plataformers since I'm not a big fan of them, but I definetely would recommend anyone to give this a try.

If you're new to the franchise you can try TrackMania 2020 for free on Uplay. However, every time you load WR times to play against in Trackmania United, you'll be racing against thousands of hours of dedication in every track. It has a unique charm newer releases of the franchise have not been able to match nor I think they will in the future.

It takes absolutely no skill to start driving and getting medals, and the game rewards you almost right off the bat whenever you get the clean run you were looking for. It makes you want to go faster, and each time you revisit a track, you learn new ways to do so. Skill ceiling is insanely high but unlike other games, professional players won't necesarelly smoke you on each track, but just beat you in some cases for barely fractions of a second.

It's a really fun game once you learn all of it's mechanics and bugs, I couldn't recommend it more. If you don't want to spend money on it, just try TrackMania Nations Forever, as it is free on Steam and you won't be missing too much.

If you've never heard about Trials then I think this is a good starting point. This is the definition of easy to learn and hard to master. Just a few simple inputs yet so complex once you get deeply into it. You'll find yourself racing the same track over and over again, just to get that extra medal, or just to prove that you can further improve your best time. I had lots of fun while playing it and I'd recommend it to whoever is thinking about buying it.

This game is my favourite out of all the Trials franchise. Yeah Evo was good but this one looks a lot better and the Pit Viper bike is awesome driving-wise. The mini-game tracks are very fun to play (except Big Air) and the sense of acomplishment once you get that platinum medal is the fuel that will keep you going.

Do not buy this game if you're looking for an online experience. The community is almost non-existent and the ones who are still grinding will probably smoke you. However, that doesn't change the fact that this game is very fun to play and grind for many hours.

Let's talk about this life ruiner cause it very well deserves it.

POSITIVE ASPECTS:

- It's free to play, and it's not pay to win. You can get some stuff early in the game by purchasing it but everything can be earned without throwing a dime. I'd even go as far as recommending people not to purchase anything because it feels the game was meant to be played that way. The only thing that can't be obtained by playing is cosmetics (just a couple of them). So again, not pay to win.

- It has a ton of content (not even a triple A game has that much). There's always something to go for; some weapons, Warframes, quests or stuff that will keep you busy and will do nothing but grow that hour counter in your library. Sometimes it feels you'll never be able to get or know everything about this game, and that's great.

- It's in constant update. Devs care a lot about this game, and they are always wondering what they can add or improve to switch things up or make the game more interesting. This has a downside tho; they sometimes take controversial decisions such as completelly modifiying game mechanics cause reasons.

NEGATIVE ASPECTS:

- This game requires you to use the wiki very often. Do you want to know where you can get that resource? Wiki. Do you want to know how damage system works? Wiki. How to unlock that quest? Wiki. This isn't really a downside at least for me as I think part of the gameplay is, in fact, reading about how the game works. It adds an special flavor to it and at the same time it challenges you to learn more about it. There's always something you won't know. There will always be someone in your clan that understands how something works better than you. However, I'm listing this as a negative point because sometimes the game puts almost zero effort into explaining stuff you must know to keep going.

- This game couldn't care any less about your spare time. Really. You'll find yourself repeating a mission a billion times just for that 0.05% chance of getting that sick item you wanted. Fortunatelly, the grind can sometimes (just in some cases) be appeased by directly buying the item that you wanted with platinum (the premium coin in Warframe) which at the same time can be obtained just by playing the game and trading.

- As mentioned before, this game is grindy. Very grindy. I put this in the negative list, but it could very well be considered as the main engine of Warframe. The only reason why people puts effort into getting all the stuff they can in the game is because that satisfying feeling of getting that incredibly rare item after dozen of hours of hardwork, that blends perfectly with their masochist lifestyle. If you don't like this type of games, stay away.

- This game lacks difficulty and can become repetitive. Specially for those who have a fair amount of hours in it, completing missions can become something mechanical up to the point that you even have to put some effort in order to fail the mission.

- Blending with the previous statement, this game welcomes new players and drags them into its beautifull world almost inmediatelly, but does little to nothing to reward those who've been playing for quite some time. There are many forms of "endgame" but none of them are attractive enough to keep veterans coming back. Arbitrations, Kuva-farm and Fashion-frame are nothing but worthy tries from developers to keep players invested in the game. Due to the recent exodus from part of many Warframe youtubers, it's fair to conclude those implementations are not enough.

After the pile of negative points, you may be confused about why I'm giving this a positive review. Don't get me wrong, this game is great, you should definatelly give it a try. But that doesn't mean I must consider this some kind of perfect game. It's full of flaws, and we as a players can do nothing but hope that devs listen to us to make it better, as already has happened in the past. Thanks for reading.
