Probably one of the most captivating games I've ever played.

The story mode is superb and I can't wait for additional episodes while the survival mode is really challenging in any way you wish it to be.

The art style, the polish and the immersion make The Long Dark a must play in my book, even if it's just to experience it for a little while.

Leading up to playing The Witcher 3 I had set out not only to play through the first two games, but also to read (or in my case listen to) all the books of the Witcher saga. I did not regret this decision, even though it took me around a year on-and-off to get to that point.

When I finally set out to play the game I was striving to complete every side quest and explore every question mark on the map (except those awful Skellige smuggler's caches, I could not be arsed to do those). Every side quest offered something a little bit different and new, every book or note I read I could see references to the Witcher books or even other universes and popular culture in general. As I said, reading the books previously made it that much more enjoyable to visit the world of the Witcher.

I have to admit, I did get burned out at some point around one third of the way through (somewhere around Novigrad). After taking an extended break I came back and finished it to the very last drop, DLC, New Game +, achievements and all.

If you enjoy atmospheric, beautifully crafted open worlds where every quest feels like it matters and contributes to the world building, but don't mind a somewhat repetitive combat system, you must at least try The Witcher 3. If you enjoy it - try the books too, I'm sure it will enhance your experience.

P.S. DLCs are absolutely worth playing as well.

This game is art and I enjoyed it greatly.

Anyone can find a game mode they enjoy on Garry's Mod

It was definitely worth the buy. For more reasons than one.
