I can't help but to leave a negative review for this game, as much as I do enjoy the Warhammer universe and getting to look forwards to the sheer hype of SM2. Honestly, the way the quality put into the set pieces, environments, sound, and everything in general is pretty on par for making a fun, captivating movie with in all honesty. I want to celebrate and be in rejoice with our beloved IP getting the notoriety as it deserves, however, these issues feel prevalent as they impact people's experience playing the game.

To preface, I have yet to play with buddies of mine or gauge how the game is like in a co-op experience, as I played this game for a few hours through solo play. Additionally, I haven't even touched the PvE or PvP gamemodes and am going solely off of the solo campaign.

EDIT: As of 8September24, I tried doing co-op with a friend and we barely even managed to finish a sequence for a mission and we constantly went offline, so lol.

Sadly, my most glaring issue is in regards to experiencing the combat. Combat feels very clunky, and you're always at death's door when you go above the second highest difficulty out of the four available. Sitting on the third difficulty, you're always trying not to die as you get swarmed, as the game SERIOUSLY seems like it's built for solely co-op play. On top of the struggle with health, you don't even regenerate any on glory kills, and your shield breaks at an instant. Parrying is unreliable, but at the same time, satisfying when it works. What doesn't work so well are when there are multiple enemies doing heavy attacks or staggered attacks and they end up stun locking you from doing anything else as you try to parry one of them. Miss the stupid fast reaction time and you'll lose a chunk of your health guaranteed or get outright downed. The combat has somewhat a bit of a variety, but is at odds with the aforementioned issues the combat faces. The gameplay makes for a mediocre experience with some fine tuning to be desired, but as it stands, the campaign portion just isn't as satisfying.

Dead game on release. Ever since they have worked on it and introduced new content, they also put it behind dlc paywalls instead of incorporating the game. Greedy company tactics.

A game that has been still running for the past 10 years, it is a mere shadow of its self. Regardless, still great to play with friends and have a good time -or an unbalanced one- to play with each other.
