Updating this to no longer advocate for new players to play this game. Developers have been making bad decisions in growing number of aspects of this game. Some of the worst things about this game is how grindy this is. You see War Thunder advertisements all about the latest era vehicles? but it takes a year to get there or more. What made me come back here to turn the review to negative was how many premium bots out there. Battle quality has been piss poor. Nothing is done about it while they continue to make changes we don't want.

Looking back, right now, I'd say this game peaked in November 2021. late 2021 and throughout 2022 was when they started and bringing more and more high tier premium vehicles, then came the botters.
