If you ignore the incredible amounts of anime horny, you will find a game that contains a very enjoyable gameplay loop combined with a surprisingly engaging story. Definitely F2P friendly, payment is usually only needed to keep up with the PVP meta, which is only a small fraction of the gameplay.

I would honestly rate the story higher than most other gacha games I've played. Not as basic as Genshin, less complicated than Arknights, less confusing than Girl's Frontline. It understands the points and themes it wants to convey without burying it under miles of confusing lore and obscurity. At first I tried to skip the story just to get to the gameplay, but started coming back to it afterwards just because I enjoyed the writing so much. It's not LOTR or the Art of War, but is IMO the best gacha game story that doesn't involve outside media (COUGH COUGH FATE GRAND ORDER COUGH COUGH).

10/10 expansion, an expansion with love and care that really sets it apart from other mods.
I've only had hermit for two days, but if anything happened to him I would kill everyone in this room and then myself.

As a gamer who likes to exploit game mechanics to make me feel smart, Slay the Spire definitely stands out as one of my favorite games. Protip: Exponential game mechanics are broken(poison, strength, etc).

It's cool, not on the level of a AAA game, but more than what I would expect from a F2P game.

Great game, boiling veins recommended to not die to Lil' Hunter.

Even though I sincerely love this game and Overkill, I cannot condone their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ business practices of going back on promises. I loved Payday, but now it has become Pay2day.
EDIT:Since the writing of this review, overkill has added the ability for drills to drop randomly, but I still firmly believe ANY sort of system like this in a paid game is completely unacceptable, no matter how you try to pad it.

So... the Yakuza Pack. Is it any good?

After impulse buying this and playing around with it for 2 days, I can truly say I love this pack more than any other of the character packs released so far.

Jiro:A badass Samurai guy who swings swords that have a taste for Cloaker neck. What more could you ask?

Micro-Uzi: As a loud weapon, the Micro is similar to jacket's piece, going for insane recoil but wrecking any amount of cops at close range. As a stealth weapon, so far(to my knowledge at this point) the Micro is the one of the only secondaries to reach 32 concealment(others being the swedish K and Compact-5, which in my opinion don't have the pure DPS this weapon brings to the table), and has a silencer that doesn't lower concealment, making it the perfect weapon for stealth/dodge builds.

Katana: I personally think this was the worst part of this pack. *snuggles katana* it is the least effective melee weapon Overkill has ever added *looks at pile of cloaker heads in corner* and singlehandedly ruins this pack(if you don't sense the sarcasm you should get an extra brain installed).
