Metaphor is a game made by the same people that made Persona 3,4 and 5 but it is an unique experience that stands tall on it's own.

Game has 2 major systems that ATLUS games are known for - Daily time management and JRPG style combat. Both of which are improvements from previous games of the development studio. Those systems are generally always either something you like or absolutely hate - it's not going to be a game for everyone.

If you are fine with above mentioned though you are in for a ride. This game is an absolute shining pearl in already amazing year for games. It has amazing Art Direction that should age well, insanely good soundtrack, great characters and memorable epic story that is constantly surprising you with it's twists and turns.

Metaphor also improves on battle system making it easier to use than Persona it's also much more forgiving in terms of time management. Generally speaking if you never played any ATLUS game because getting mid way into series of 5 games is daunting this one is perfect entry point to check if you like the game play.

On the other hand beware that in typical ATLUS fashion game takes over 80 hours to finish. Which also makes it generally good purchase even at full price.

Game runs well on steam deck (i have played it exclusively on SD at the time of writing this review) and doesn't have a lot of places where you are unable to save so it's also great game on the go.

I fully recommend giving it a shot especially when it's on discount.

ATLUS Absolutely cooked with this one.

Personal note to SEGA... For the love of god remove Denuvo already. Everyone could use those additional frames in game. And in general stop putting that thing in games as it's absolutely pointless and it makes our (people that actually pay for games) life worse.

An outstanding piece of digital media.

Entire story focuses on extremely serious topics - to get to know which exactly i fully recommend to play the game.

That being said it's not a game for everyone. There is some game design elements that were clearly made as story telling devices and they can be extremely infuriating/annoying - such as not being able to save in prologue sequence of the game. Do not get discouraged though because game includes great combat that Platinum Games is well known for.

Grab it and play it. Especially on discount.

As seen by icon on this review i played entire game on steam deck. It's fully playable and runs in 60FPS, BUT to achieve 60 fps you need to tune down on anti-aliasing. If you play at AAx16 game won't hit 30FPS and most of the time even struggle to keep more than 20.
Otherwise it's good experience, especially for travel. (Game has optional online functionality but it's not really needed for 99% of the game).

Thank you Yoshi-P for giving people a week to play Elden Ring DLC.

Also thank you for giving us Touch Grass (Extreme) trial during 48h maintenance before Dawntrail release.

Early Access Review
Devs are able to just shadow drop the game into Early Access with zero marketing because they know game will speak for itself.

Game is 30$ in Early Access and is still better than 70$ games they are trying to push on us.

It's worth a buy. Help Devs by providing feedback to make it even better.

Death to Chronos,
Have fun killing time.

It's great game for fans of both Persona and turn based x-com likes.

Just like Persona 5 it has a banger soundtrack.

Just be aware that story takes place after events of Persona 5 and even though it's an spin-off you might find (sometimes heavy) spoilers to main game so if you are planning on playing P5R i would recommend finishing that before starting P5T.

This game is really weird. I want to love it but ... there is a lot to talk about.

First things first as many in reviews i did play Dying Light 1 and i loved it. I waited for the 2nd instalment for a long time and when it came out i bought it some few days after release that's also when i played through entire story and majority of my game time is from exactly that period of time so maybe few things changed as i didn't get to play NG+ yet.

This entire review will most likely boil down to one thing game was made with live service as it's core over giving great experience with live service as secondary goal . That is it's biggest flaw and also the biggest possibility of being good one day.
Techland did support first game for a long time so it seems they wanted to have more of that live service elements be the focus of this game so they can keep it interesting for a long time which would be a good thing if not for entire core premise of the game being single player campaign and those same live service elements make experience of playing the campaign miserable. Grinding for equipment upgrades is tedious and getting highest levels feels pointless as price/effort ratio is just incredibly bad.

There is also a lot of changes from the first game that just decrease overall enjoyment of it including numerous changes to core mechanics especially day/night cycle that made first game unique and scary here degrades it to EXP multiplier.

I don't even want to comment on the story as game had to change a lot due to entire Chris Avellone situation and it can be seen very clearly. Long story short Story is bad it feels as if it's there because game had to have some kind of story arc for single player campaign. If you played first game don't think that this sequel would have any big connections to the first one. Only thing present in both games is world itself. Game did itself a huge disfavour by being called "Dying Light 2" and not just a spin-off series in same world.

Game is also weird in terms of colours as for some reason it's done in very bright and highly saturated colours that frankly don't really fit the rest of game world and one moment in the game story that changed how world looks made it much more appealing.

I want this game to be great one day and will probably revisit it in some time to check how it changed. But for now i cannot with good conscience recommend it. If you want great zombie game with parkour play Dying Light 1. If you liked the story of the first game and want to check what happens next - don't bother as you won't really get to know much here.

If the game changes down the line i will edit this review.

Good night, Good luck.

Have you ever played old Harry Potter games?

Have you always wished to get similar experience but with actual time and budget?

Look no more. It's here.

Game does have it's issues in performance (at the time of writing this) but it's not in completely unplayable state.
I fully recommend everyone trying it out. And it'a a must play if you loved any of the old Harry Potter games.

I waited with My Purchase until it released to check on port quality.

Bought day 1 as port is absolutely amazing. And well how good game is? That doesn't even need comments.

Time to go Boi...

Not much to say.

Obsidian made RPG. Expect lots of dialogues and hours of great fun with quests made by same team that created Fallout New Vegas.

Also F*ck Take Two for making it 1 year Epic Exclusive.
