Not really a whole lot of advice I can give besides guides, tutorials, guides
They help a lot in the long run. If you can't figure out some things with Blender, it has a lot of video guides & tutorials available on the internet & documentation that can help you a lot. (I personally don't use it for making mods, however, so I can't say much for it)
If you struggle with the mod making process, even after guides, then I would highly recommend joining the Dead4Mods Discord group. You can find it at the Steam Group page of the same name.
