As of May 2024, I do not recommend this game. The game is very stable with little bugs, though none of which are game breaking (e.g., apples not working 'an apple a day keeps the apple away', mercenaries being permanently blocked by the AI, and the trade house.. being overrun by traders ).
The game is a lot of fun and got me quite addicted at the start, The building system is great, as well as the military part - however, as of now there is very little content in the game and little replayability. Therefore, I do not recommend it, as you'll have fully explored the game within two days. However, the mistake is on my side for buying an early access game I figure, therefore it'll still be a positive review and well.. I sincerely hope the developer will hire more people so we won't have to wait several years ;)
If I had to wish for any improvements/directions in the future - it would be to increase the difficulty of maintaining your settlement.
Furthermore as many people complain about the lack of a tutorial - I found the game quite intuitive and easy to learn - even with the lack of a proper tutorial. It's not rocket science.
