Russian games; i would say the most interesting bunch when it comes  to video games.
You never know what exactly they will do and when they do it, it feels unnatural to any game you have played before. They have questionable gameplay but really immersive atmospheres and worlds along with music that fits the mood.

Arctic Alive is unfortunate, a Blender engine type of game.  A "binary" survival "stealth" horror.   which means sadly(for this case) no options. You can't lower or disable the music(a key point later) or adjust any other meaningful settings. Not only that, but you can't rearrange your infinite inventory.
In my case, the game can't be played from Steam due perhaps my GPU. The game has a white screen and i can't see anything despite the game playing normally.
i have used UPBGE to play the game and that app presents a problem of not following the game's logic right. That means some areas to me are impossible due crashing when i enter them and enemies thankfully, can't chase you. And some other problems.

What i have seen from playing this  minimalistic type of game is its impressive immersion potential, the location and the music. Without these annoying enemies, the game can feel very haunting. It is interesting how you can also find maps of the building and take them with you, you only just need to look.
The problem with the navigation is that, you have to be really close to the item you want to pick(or use) and the items themselves are small, which requires an observant eye and a flashlight if it is in the dark.

The main problem with this game is its enemies. i haven't played the version  that plays normally but my experience and seeing gameplay videos of this game shows how frustrating it is.
The main culprit is  the black man. The main he spots you if you're moving, if you stand still, he will never hurt you. But he is sensitive to sound. If your mood bar, body temp and possibly other bars are in the red, you will constantly do noises by yourself. Once he hears a sound, he will most likely turn around and once he sees an inch of your body move, you're done for unless you are  close to a door(other area). He can spot through gaps where you normally couldn't see him, that's why if even an inch of your body is moving, he will give chase and he is quite fast.
The basement is the worst area in the game, due having 2 of them.  With no ability to hear their footsteps due to the music being loud, this binary encounter will go only 2 ways. He either spots you instantly(when you move) or you take lot of time by moving silently  when they are not around.
The constant need of taking care of your bars is interesting concept especially since the game follows a day cycle as going outside in the next is not worth it. There is a bear enemy but he at least has somewhat loud footsteps so he isn't that of a concern.
i am impressed a bit of this concept even though it is not used well or fully to its potential. i would say it is a puzzle with some horror elements to it but when you add the survival elements to it; it becomes different however, you will see when you play it what exactly needs to be fixed.

A warning to everyone that thinks if they want to play it; it isn't your usual game design or logic here. But if you ask me, it is surely lot better than any modern game, despite the wrong engine and certain gameplay elements.

Modern writing ruins games and makes them mediocre, a game with no soul is not worth playing

Ahaha, modern "writing"; they put really bad picture into characters, especially female ones. And I know there are actually good female characters when there is actually story writing and theme of the story.
Lot of filler dialogue, dialogue with no purpose, one-liners that are poor and try to be "funny" with puns and other modern story writing stuff.
Despite both characters being different, the writing makes them, exactly the same.
The irony of that, you may see 2 women, but in reality you see the same woman.
First impressions are everything and lasting, and i don't see good impressions on modern games, if ever. Maybe 5%, instead of 25%.

I haven't played their previous (2)games, only seen bit of "Way out" and i can certainly say that their previous games were lot better than this, especially Way out.
However, it is a really linear game with no actual freedom, death never penalizes you and some sections can be literally be played by one player only.
The optimization is questionable, my PC could run it at 25 FPS and 10(in bad situations or in Rain) but i finished the demo. I do have a weak CPU but it was "playable".
The game sure doesn't present itself very well, especially on what to do,where to go and its keybinds. It also doesn't show your ping so you never know how bad the situation is, because some platforms require you to time them and if you're lagging behind, you must plan accordingly.
There is also lacking interactions with both players, in a COOP game. You can't emote, high five them after doing something, hug them or anything. Perhaps later in the story? Ah, probably in only one moment and then never repeated.
Or it isn't presented as an option to the player but it is there.
Who knows really?

The only good thing is that only one player needs(to buy) the game and you can try it out with the demo to see how it is.
This game would be somewhat good if it was before 2010s(regarding gameplay) or if it was on Mobile but seeing the game in action, makes me think it is best for it not to exist.

Conclusion
Watch the story on Youtube if you're interested to know more.

Game of the decade in regard to originality and genre of game(Coop).
In this boring, horribly optimized, and mediocre era of "modern" games, this game saves gaming.

Don't take the sentence too seriously; it is a small game, but it keeps its fun factor even while replaying. A mini L4D2, if you will. I do feel the game is a bit on demo scale to me. If it had 50% more mission and content, but that's off-topic and it doesn't affect my score.  Still, I understand why it is right now.
It is Typing Of The Dead and Resident Evil combined. That means, quick typing fingers, having a good positioning, knowing when to fight and when to run. And on hard and above, you really need to know when to move and when to fight. Because those 2 settings, really have a huge difficulty spike(between normal and hard, and hard to torment).  I am not sure if that(torment)difficulty was play-tested fully.

Don't let it fool you, this game is accessible to anyone, regardless if they think they can't type. However, to get the feeling of the game, you must play it on Casual(Easy); that's where I started. Because of its “stressing” gameplay in typing, you really need to understand its fundamental design. If you don't and have low patience, you're going to give up the game. Why? Because there are some things not fully explained to you, and you need to have a keen eye. And playing it on non-Easy will just stress you out.

The reason to play it
For an even more obvious reason, this is a coop game.  Solo can be fun for a bit, but you really need to play COOP. Thankfully, there is a discord group of the game and the developers, so that's enough.
The game will test your cooperation and attention, as you really don't need to fight everyone and certainly not the same target. It is really possible to avoid any damage, but you need to be attentive and strategic.
Things will be added in the future; we all got to be patient and, especially, not stress the developers.   The game gets improved often, a worthwhile purchase.

At least, it is a coop game that keeps its fun and lets you replay it, like EDF 4 and L4D. The replay factor in a game is very much ignored today and in the past.

11/10 Please add an egg

Welcome to Modern gaming.
Where modern engines get worse each time; implementing "Nothing" when it presents it is "Something". Then you wait thousand of hours just to "prepare Shaders" and then you have poor perfomance. Good thing preparing the shaders was AFTER pressing START(while lagging in start menu). That's irony for you, i.e wasted time, thinking I could be able to play the game.
Ugh, reminds me of Dragon Age Veilguard(Perfomance wise). No, just no.
Waste of space. A dead space if you will, that's what is modern gaming is today. All dead space and pointless showing of the flesh("fan service").
Why they can't use these newer(or even older) engines well? Why every new game MUST have horrible optimization?

A pathetic game that really caters to  Elite players that spend all their time(kind of like Japanese games) learning the ins and outs of a game only to have no payoff in the long term given how much time spent on learning. Not to say Elite players are bad, on the contrary, this game's design is the basis  of “mastering everything or failing at everything”.
Even on normal difficulty, you can easily die because certain enemies can attack quite fast and kill you in a few hits. Given that, at that point, players don't know much of the game, they will fail to learn and thus die needlessly.
This game's problems are the spam of special enemies, the large quantity of them(especially on harder settings) and that is way too dependent on team play. One crucial mis-position on the team, can bring devastation; if a player moves too far and attracts even more enemies, good luck. One stupid enemy spawn can break everything and one special attack through horde of enemies(they can penetrate through enemies easily for some reason) can bring the end of your run.
It really requires trial and error here, much more than any COOP game I have seen. You got to move enemies to choke points or you die, you got to know everything about the enemy and you have to spend many hours on it as well.
Now multiply that by 4, and you have a recipe for disaster. In public games, how do you really expect people to know about this? 80% of pub games consist of people having a terrible position and attracting too much attention, or they can't help you when they truly can. The other 20%(or even less) are players that know the game too much, they can carry the game, and you're sitting there wondering, " how can l learn? Did I do anything here?"
They are people who play on Very Hard and Extreme and know nothing how to play. You tell them to fall back or wait for the horde  so we won't be surrounded, and they keep going. It is like Overwatch, nobody knows when to fall back, and nobody cares about their teammates. For a COOP game, the amount of teamwork is minimal(both in game design and its players). You are attempting to shoot enemies from afar, but nobody is protecting your back. Everyone is rushing in.
You really have to spend a lot of time here if you want to have fun. This isn't a casual game, this isn't L4D where even Expert is easy with some knowledge on how the game works. This is a hard-core game through and through. You're telling me, that Normal and Hard  Difficulty are overbearing? Why?
It goes to show how much powerful special  enemies are, to the point they are too much.
It is fine to have such difficulty on the hardest settings(The bonus extra difficulty modes) but on the normal settings, it is too much.
And then you have ranged enemies that do too much damage on the hardest settings with unmatched reflexes and aim.
If your team isn't a well-oiled machine, the consequences really show the higher the difficulty goes.
The only reason I even considered of buying this game was because of Jesper Kyd and he does a fine work here, but that's all there is. There are some funny dialogues between characters(player ones), but that's it! All the other dialogue is filler and not funny(it doesn't have to be humorous, just something creative), saying a lot of things without saying anything. At least, they use a swearing system that is unique to its lore(like Thief 1)

Perfomance wise: It runs well, but has a lot of problems with its servers and the "out of memory" mistakes that shouldn't happen. Of course, they are  also some FPS spikes in certain areas or when something specific happens.

Only buy this game if you have partners to play with, don't even try to play this solo(with Pubs). You will lose your hair and clothing. It is exactly how it feels to play Overwatch or any competitive game ranked solo. Everyone is on the same boat however, this boat is tiny, fragile and the surrounding dangers are Sharks and thunderstorms, all the time, every second. And if someone isn't giving their best, then that boat will sink.

It really goes to show you how L4D pretty much perfected the COOP play, even it isn't like Peace Walker(in terms of COOP gadgets and combinations of them) or some others (few)games I can't remember right now.
I liked the game at the start, however, later on, I despised it and that's not what you want to have in a video game.

Yet another abysmally optimized Unity game. Wherever I go, I see left and right these Unity games. I can't fathom how this can continue in this era of gaming. For a fighting game, you need to have proper optimization so the flow of combat (and stealth) is optimal.
So what do we have here? I can't say much due to being unable to play with less than 10 FPS. The tutorial is badly designed. It starts with a “tough” puzzle of going over a fence with barbed wire. The first thought is” maybe  I can destroy it, open it somehow, or even throw all 'crates' to the other side”. But no. My Thief 1 and 2 and Deus Ex 1 experiences told me to try again and use the crates to climb over the pipes and then the fence. When I finally placed the crates properly, I was stunned that a tutorial required you to do that without any explicit guidance.
Bad start, it made me skip it the first time.
A new game, and after you try the tutorial(whether or not you passed it, it just needs to load tutorial level), you wake up in front of a woman sitting. However, that isn't the real start. You're supposed to wake up in a medical room. Another yellow card  from me.
Next, I see bad optimization; orange card, that's not good. You go to your  apartments with a terrible running speed if your skill is not high; it is much easier to move around in fighting mode, dashing forward, than to sprint here. You finally encounter your first test. An enemy that demands money. You can seduce him(move to a vacant room to silently take him out), intimate him  or fight him. l gone the allure and stealth build. Whatever happened, it wasn't good for me, left me a bad taste. You can try to silently take him out, you lose REP with that faction's enemy somehow. I restarted my game in hopes of unlocking a "stealth" skill kick that leaves enemies “unconscious” like in the "how to play section" says. It didn't work right and not only that, another perk wasn't unlocked despite me having the right skill number for it(silent strikes).
So l did something funny. I used the skill to knock him down and quickly move to my room, which was dark. I just jumped on my bed and stood there. The enemy came, didn't find me, stood still, didn't even check the room, and left. Is this the best solution in this case? It would probably be possible to leave the vacant room without him noticing, but I am not in the mood to try.
This was a gift, and I am ashamed of trying this game in hopes it would get better. I should have listened to my instinct .
I was seduced by the Deus Ex similarity and the traits "allure"; thinking this would be a worthwhile game to play.Regardless what effort, the dev went to make this game. It doesn't please me.  My instinct yelled at all these yellow and orange cards. And i was stupid to continue forward. I doubt the refund will proceed.
The dev should also remove these fences that have Barbed wire on them. Logic says you can't vault or stand on top of them but they are everywhere.

Personally, I am tired of trying modern games. I should stick with older ones. Or, better yet, make my own game. At least, I will learn something from it.Perhaps, this is the only good thing the game offered; an insight just for me.

Literally every Klei game is a "game" all about being prepared well before you even launch the game.  It is an exam, and all the important details are hidden from you; that's not the worst part. The worst part is that their games are HARDCORE to the core. For something that shows "cute," you think at least you can have fun while also learning the game, but no.
Don't Starve Together is a waste of time and a literal example of how video games can feel when you are conscious, that they are truly a waste of time.
You want to get in the game? Either prepare for a second job or spend the whole day learning how to survive by always keeping the wiki open or watching Youtube videos.
Once you get in the game, you will notice how tedious it is to gather resources, slow and requires a ton of micro management. You will feel the game is a chore.
The UI is also not good enough.
Mods help with the UI and collecting items, but do you really need mods? Shouldn't these already be in the game? Why do we live in an era where modders actually do a better job? Good thing they do a great job, but the question still stands, very surprising or even ironic.
If you dare to make a mistake in combat or not crafting the necessary items to survive harsh weather, you can easily see yourself dead; it is like setting a bomb, it will explode sooner or later, you don't know when.
Combat is tedious but very demanding, even to the point of boredom. Since this is a coop game, every enemy's life is doubled, or even more so. Instead of 6 hits, prepare for more. The worst thing is that to have good results in combat, you have to kite (attack, then pull back, taking advantage of the enemy's miss). However, if you're up against multiple enemies, you might as well leave the game. The hint here is that combat is not fun and  it is unforgiving.

You might think, when you learned and got the necessary equipment, you did great, right? No, there are more advanced concepts that require a specific time or place to acquire them. It requires even more studying, which I didn't even touch, so I am finishing here.

In the end, though, it is all useless. Playing with randoms, will make your progress easily deleted. You gathered so much, you spent so much time studying and preparing, and then you see your progress lost. All the food you gathered, the fridge(hard to build) you built to ensure your food doesn't rot, and then the server gets reset or your work gets destroyed.
This game is the epitome of PS2 games where you don't play with a memory card, and every time you close the game, you lose everything. And if you're conscious of not liking your progress getting reset, and doing it all over again, you will realize everything was a waste of time—easily more hurt than anything else.
Playing the game solo is also disastrous, especially when enemies have double health. Why are you playing a game that has “together” solo?
The only way is with friends, but as I said, it is not worth it, you will quickly realize it is pointless.

Personally, I rate this game the same as GMOD RP; if it were on a tier list, it wouldn't be even on the tier list because of how bad it is.  If you want to kill your soul and learn nothing of value, kill your time and mind. This type of game is for you.  Everything you do easily gets reset after some time or gets discarded. We didn't grow up with such games to make 5 steps forward and then go back where we started.
Everything Klei makes, is not for casuals or those looking to relax.
Be aware and stay awake when you're choosing which games to play. They do affact you when you don't realize it.

Early Access Review
A very fascinating type of a game that is hampered by abysmal (Unity)optimization, game balance and being unfriendly to the player.
When l was playing this game before 50v update, l thought it was one of the best ones, when l had specific mods that actually helped my performance improve. Combat was doable especially when you got skilled in it. With low FPS, it is near pointless to try it so l often avoided combat.  Navigation in low FPS also makes the experience a torture; I often lose focus, miss a jump or just feel dizzy. No matter the mods or the settings used, this "simple" game runs terribly.  I always thought Unity games run terribly, not because of the engine, however, because of the people designing the game. If I can run 30FPS stable(mostly) in Overwatch in a low-end PC, what does LC mean? I have seen games with good optimizations and many more bad optimizations, but this game reminds me of TF2. There are a lot of FPS spikes.
The point I am making is that optimization in a game, is extremely important, regardless of whether it is low- or high-end. Just the fact that this game has a low FPS makes me subconsciously not play it.
Game balance.

It seems after 50v, the game became even more hostile to the player, especially to a new one. This is one of the games, like Don't Starve Together, where you need to do your homework. That means studying on Wikis and videos. If you stay out of the loop, you will suffer because the game doesn't provide you with enough info. And even if you do decide not to read, sooner or later, you will read, you need to, if you want to make progress and get better at the game.
I will have to repeat, that the game is hostile to you. Combat in 50v is now less of a choice, requiring actual sync with teammates to make it possible, but we all know that isn't possible with randoms (the most probable outcome). Solo is terrible in this game; the game is almost the same if you play solo, so you have to play with others.

Future of the game.
Personally,  I have lost the need or joy to decide to play this game. My prime reason is the low FPS, the other reasons mentioned do add more gasoline to the fire, but if the pyromaniac wasn't there(the terrible optimization), then the fire wouldn't be even there.
I have had lot of fun playing this game; it is quite funny, but if the game keeps being harder and barren of content with details, then this game, could die. Not in the way of people leaving it, in a way, it is not fun. Don't Starve Together, for example, is a game that doesn't reward you; you play it and you suffer. It is dead to me—a game without soul. No matter the progress you make, you reset in the end.  The game and the gameplay hate you.
I don't want Lethal Company to become a game that hates you; it was hard already, more so for novices.
Imagine my heartbreaking when I don't want to play this game any more despite all the fun I had and its unique identity. It reminded me a lot of L4D2, with how much fun each play through is and how Mods actually enhance the fun factor.

Don't recommend this to casual players, solo or players with low patience, so far, that is. Might get better in the future, but I have a feeling it might never come
Casual players, will sooner or later, get the feeling that they wasted their money after a certain amount of time has passed, that is how l feel right now.

Game is much better now, despite enemies being able to burst you to death quite easily(especially above hard). The skill system gives freshness, some are questionable(useless) but overall; having the ability to carry more loot bags, is a quality of life that should have  been from the release.  I don't like that they made M1 Garand unable to one hit kill headshot common(helmet) enemies(regardless of difficulty) but maybe that helped me understand how powerful the snipers are.
Be wary because the game can get quite hard especially outdoors or exposed areas.
It is a well done effort and if it is a team that took the wheel from someone else and cares about the game, then blessings are in other and can recommend this game if there are players. If not, consider waiting for bots mods.  Hope they add "wait" command on the bots and possibly carry loot
Still, congratulations are in order for the amount of effort went through, it is playable.
l am thinking of changing the review to positive, just wait..
A mindless, unforgiving, or unfair  shooter that tries to appear or be something but, in reality, is nothing.
At first glance, it looks fascinating: the cutscenes, the dialogue, and Hitler getting angry differently each time you complete a mission.
However, everything falls apart from the moment you notice the gameplay. It is a "shooter" where enemies are aim bots, have crazy reflexes, and are swarms of them—literally a lot of them. And obviously, add unfair snipers to the mix and higher damage/health on each difficulty and you have the recipe for distaster.
This problem appears when you play Hard and above; the same applies to Normal, but to a somewhat lesser degree. Still, the fundamental problems are present regardless of difficulty. You don't have some type of regen health that is passive(like recover to 50% health); you get easily outmatched on open fields (because of near-perfect enemy accuracy and surrounding you); your weapons are useless beyond medium range and those stupid aimbot enemies have overwhelming numbers. A battle of attrition, and the favor is on the enemies, not you.
The game is very "gamey", unrealistic to a fault. Enemies appear almost instantly after an alarm is raised, regardless of the difficulty; you can't smash through certain objects while driving because the script must be followed;  the game loves to be tedious by forcing interactions with objects over and over again (truck repair); moving bags of gold beyond 4 bags; passing through suicidal exposed areas without any different route.
Arbitrary missions have objectives that go beyond normal numbers when you go above Hard. Enemies surviving tons of headshots, forcing you to use certain weapons to progress with less pain.

If you have played Payday 2, then you know what you are getting up to. It is all the same deal here.

I am genuinely surprised at how the developers haven't improved on making the game fun. The fun is only for a short while. You need 3+ players(Solo is no-go) to make the game somewhat fun. The enemies are a nuisance, as stated multiple times. Missions that are enclosed are your best bets because of how the AI works. Any open area is  a nightmare for you(especially Hard+).
I'm convinced that the developers don't value the player's time or their own(player's) enjoyment when it comes to gameplay and making games fun. Your choices are very limited if you want to succeed in missions.
The formula is ruined; I won't ever play any games from these developers.
They might have created good presentations and improved some gameplay aspects, but all  they have done is make 2 steps forward and 30 steps backwards into a circle, into a loop that punishes you each time you play it.
Its performance is slightly improved, but it still has crashes that can happen at any time. As I said, 2 steps forward, 30 laps. My games can be frozen, with program not responding and forcing to close through the task manager.
I have enjoyed the game for a short while. However, I can't just keep playing on Normal or hard (alone is a deathwish, player count is low, so good luck having fun). It becomes quite clear that fun quickly disappears, especially when there are few weapons and equipment. It all feels the same: you only have a select few weapons; others are pointless because they actually hurt you mentally and are copies of each other.

The game is supposed to be easier and less tedious on solo but people never design games on solo in mind.
In my list of coop games, this game(and any game from the same dev aside from Payday 1) would not even be ranked. I would advise to avoid it. Even for 2 euros or as a gift, it is pointless.

Making a game open world most of the time, if it is from modern game design, only results making the game losing its unique identity.
This game doesn't respect you, nor your time, nor anything related to you. It is insulting towards you.

You will be doing the same and the same things.
This is a lifeless game, everyone has lost their meanings here, every character is unlikeable. Quiet is a meaningless forced fan service and the story is empty. Check videos relating how empty the game is. l will just give you the bare minimun to decide or research.
Gameplay might seem fun at first but the more you play it, the more lifeless and boring it is. Yes, it is one of those games, where you spent 60+% pf the time moving from place to place.
Stealth is gone, it is the basic and generic vision stealth where they spot you from X distance if you're running, Y distance if you're prone etc. Camo barely helps and you can't change it at will. This type of stealth game is all about memorizing and trial and error. either you take it slow or learn the game in and out, rushing to end it.

Game gets more difficult depnding what tools and moves you use. If you're knocking guards left and right, they might place decoys. Or if you keep holding them up at gunpoint, they will fake surrender. Headshot many enemies, and they will wear helmets even if you gone Non-lethal. These might sound good on theory but it is all inconveniences. There is no indicator of how much evidence you leave behind so just doing these moves(just interacting with guards) will make the game "harder" for you. At no point you know the system works until it is too late. More like, more time consuming than already it is.

The online part is the worst there is
The multiplayer, MGO(on this game) is also one of the worst online games l have ever seen. Unbalanced, poor connection and annoying..

Stay away from this game, not worth it. Just reviewing it, means from me, to stay away.
Open world games of modern game design just make me disgusted, it is all wide as an ocean but deep as a puddle.
