I’ve got mixed feelings. It’s a nice experience overall, definitely better than the first game, but man, I can’t say I wasn’t disappointed. I’ve seen people calling it one of the greatest games ever, putting it in the same league as RDR2 or The Witcher 3, and nah… it’s just not on that level.

It actually starts off super strong. The devs pulled off a clever way to reset Henry back to square one, which made sense in the story and gave the game that familiar underdog vibe again. It was a bit more forgiving than KCD1, but still fun.

Somewhere around Kuttenberg, the magic kinda wore off. Gameplay-wise, it became too easy. I didn’t even have to think much anymore. And the story? That’s where it really started losing me. As soon as the Devil’s Pack showed up it began to feel like a cheesy Marvel movie with a cast of one-dimensional characters.

Nice game – better than the first, for sure. But it’s not groundbreaking and I don’t really see myself playing it again anytime soon.

Playing VTMB was a mixed bag, but I can see why it’s considered a cult classic. The game absolutely nails the feeling of freedom in an RPG—almost every quest can be approached in multiple ways. Whether you want to rely on dialogue, stealth, or just brute force (if you're willing to suffer through the combat), the game lets you play how you want.

I especially loved playing as a Malkavian. The unique dialogue and the fourth-wall-breaking humor made the whole experience way more fun than I expected.

Honestly, the humor in general is fantastic. The radio, ads, notes on computers... it reminded me a lot of GTA in that sense. The game nails that early 00s vibe—dark, edgy, and chaotic in a way that feels nostalgic if you’re into that era.


The world is built well enough, and there’s plenty of lore to dig into, though I never found it particularly gripping. That’s also true of the characters—they’re fine, but most feel pretty one-dimensional. There’s no one I’d call truly memorable, which is a shame for an RPG. The story suffers the same fate; it’s serviceable but nothing that sticks with you.

VTMB has some serious flaws. It’s practically unplayable without mods, which says a lot about its state at launch. The further you get into the game, the more obvious it becomes that the developers ran out of time/budget.

The later sections feel rushed and lose a lot of the charm from the earlier parts. And don’t even get me started on the combat—it’s bad, plain and simple. The game forces you into combat more often in the second half, and that’s where it really starts to drag.


I enjoyed Bloodlines for its freedom and humor, but I wouldn’t call it a great game. It’s worth playing if you can look past its flaws, but you’ll need mods and a lot of patience to get through it.
