Duke Nukem Forever. A game that, somehow, survived perpetual delay limbo. As a game by itself, it's not worth the price of admission. It brings nothing new to the table, serving more as a small tour through popular genres that evolved through the decade of development, from its release. As a Duke Nukem game, maybe. Given the lack of actual games between this and Duke Nukem 3D, besides spin-offs, it's potentially worth for a bit of modern nostalgia. Though, such reasoning is rather fleeting, as its gameplay mechanics contrast the seemingly dated theme to try and seem modern, which drags itself down significantly.

If you're fond of Duke Nukem enough that you need a fix, go nuts, but pick it up on a sale. For anyone new to the character an story... Super big maybe, but you might find more fun in Duke Nukem 3D instead. I still find it a guilty pleasure of mine, but don't let that sway you.
