Few tips to have a good life with Steam:

- Don't play Dota 2
- Don't waste your money with developers that doesn't deserve it
- When you get stressed with video-games, stop right away. You are wasting your time to have fun, not to get mad at it.

Don't play this game. If you already play it, stop.

First of all, this will be a long review, and I know that I'll probably get bashed with comments of people thinking this is an absurd and I'm exagerating here, or some troll comment trying to be funny making a joke about this review, but I feel like I must share this and maybe help someone out there that is wondering in start playing a MOBA or even someone that is trying to quit dota (yes, trying to, and I'll get there on the right time).

Second, English is not my mother language, if you spot any typing mistake let me know please.

And if you don't even got to this line, but is writing a comment telling how "this review is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥", I won't even consider your opinion, since you didn't took the time to even read what I wrote, I reserve the rights to do the same.

So let's start.

This game is addicting, and you don't even see how deep you are on it until you try to quit for some reason, and realize how hard is to do that. Yesterday I saw a chart about how many hours are spend in average at steam games, and DOTA 2 is on the top of the list with a total of 29 million hours played, so I realized that is not just me who wasted (yes, wasted) time on this game, and I might be able to convince someone to quit this game before waste more time.

This game starts frustrating, because you don't know how to play and try to learn all the mechanics and heroes skills, then you invest a lot of time on it just to learn how it works, because even this game being frustrating at start, it feels good to play it, and you just want to learn all you can and get good at it.

The problem is that you will just have fun while learning how to play, and it takes about 300~500 hours to have the domain and knowledge to understand everything is going on if you never played a MOBA before. You try different builds, heroes, line ups and strategies, and have fun doing it.

But what happen after you learn how to play this game? You start getting frustrated with people that can't do their roles on the game, the carry that can't carry, the support that doesn't support, the guy who feeds, the guy that doesn't speak your language, etc, etc... And the frustration never ends, trust me, never.

This is not a game that you play for 1 hour and you feel satisfy, is the kind of game you play for over 5 hours a day, many days of your week, and just feel more frustrated and angry, hating people from other countries or someone that offended you ingame. And you just hope that the next game will be bette, but it never comes, and you try one more game to "compensate it." And you will have the adrenaline on you from the last game that will make you happy and keep going.

You try to climb your MMR (ranking system with +- 25 points (+25 if you win, - 25 if you lose), because you know your MMR is bad, and therefore the people who plays on this MMR are bad as well, so you have the ilusion that they will get better in higher MMR's and the games will be more fun to play. Here is where you are wrong buddy.

I have been on 1.5k MMR, the games were bad. 2.5K MMR, the game was bad. 3.5K MMR, the game were bad, bottom line, 6.5K MMR, the people still toxic and the game still sucks, don't be delusional thinking that you can be a pro player when you reach 5K mmr, you won't. Most of people that have professional teams and high MMR's (6K up), play this game for several years (around 6-8 years, one of the higher MMR's Miracle and W33 plays since dota 1 for over 8h a day, everyday.)

Is not about you skill and ability to be good at the game, is just the time that it will take you and what this will give you back on the real life. This game will suck your time and drain your life, no methaphores here, just the raw truth that most of us players know and just deny. "Real life is boring", "I'm not addicted, I just play this to distress","Real life just sucks, I don't do anything wrong, I just like to be at home playing video-games".

The thing is, you will see one day or another, your family or friends trying to reach you, but you can't leave the game for about more 30 minutes. You will lose an opportunity to have a dinner with your family, see a friend that just came and is already leaving, or anything else, go away, then you will start collecting moments like this.

You will see you negleting your personal life, your grades at college will fall because you can't concentrate in school nor study at home, and your relationship with people that doesn't play the game will start getting bad, because you are never there, you are yoo busy playing this game.

Your real life will be like ♥♥♥♥ and you won't even realize how bad it is, because on your own mind is everything okay and you have all the control over it, but you are wrong. Your lack of will to do whatever in real life is because you are playing this game and all the things it does with your brain (look up on youtube or any real research done on the rewarding system of your brain if you think I'm exageratting). You anxiety will be higher, you will use this game to "distress" about the daily life, but it is just a excuse to run away from your problems, and will get everyday worse and worse.

This game is hipnotic, and addicting, if you still playing this be ready to lose many opportunities, to lose sleep, emotional equilibrium, knowledge and women, friends, all this for a game that has capabilities very addicting. To put your goals beside for a addicting leasure.

And if you really think you are under control of your will to play this game, try to stop playing for 10 days, nor watching twtich or youtube/facebook plays, and do something on real life, if you can keep it up 10 days straight withouth the impulse and feeling to play this game, and not feeling extremely bored to do something that is not this game nor using this as a way to "distress and forget about the problems", you are really under control. If you THINK that can do it but never tried, do it before judge, and if you realize that you can't, and want to try, Add me and talk to me, I can give you some advices on how to make your time more worthy and play less, untill you despise this game as much as I do, for all the bad it have done to my life. Not trying to blame just the game, I made my own decisions, but you don't have to replicate my mistakes.

I wrote too much here on this review and can't type more, so if you need more help, come to me and I'll try my best to assist you on quitting this game and explaining a few questions.

And please please please, stop wasting your life on this worthless game, listen to the people around you that really loves you, not some other group of junkies that are trying to keep you on the same circle of procrastination and life waste as they are.

This is not a joke, is your life at stake and you really should consider all that was said in here.
