Imma be honest and say that I have only tried shapez 1. I could never get into it bu the sequel was something I lost sleep over on the first day. I can say that Shapez 2 might be the gateway drug to Factorio and Satisfactory albeit I already play Satisfactory.

Take-Two closed the development studio and currently this game is abandonware with almost no hope of returning to development

After playing for a little bit, this is an absolutely fun game for any steam train fan out there. I would highly suggest playing on the beta if you are going to pick this up.
