Yeah Dark Bead plus that combination of gear is way too overpowered. And not enough people use Pursuers (maybe because fighting Manus as a mage sucks ass, even if you havel tank the fight).

For PVE though I love using dark magic. I just wish that DS1 had a way to restore spell uses like in DS2 or even DS3 (I prefer DS2's method though, because that way you're not limited still like in DS3). Also you get dark magic way too late in DS1.

Yeah silly deaths are expected in a Souls game. It's all good 👍.

I'm not a big fan of these Dark Bead with Crown of Dusk, Tin Crystalization Catalyst/Manus' Catalyst and Power Within builds myself, even in PvE I find it too overpowered to be fun, And yeah, that death was pretty hilarious and silly, but it's alright, silly deaths happen to everyone :)

Btw props for not simply one-shotting me with Dark Bead. It was kind of hilarious that I died to that fire bomb from the giant. I've only ever died to those on like my first few playthroughs like 10+ years ago.
