hey hi! wanted to chat a bit about the Miasmata community patch, I've got a semi-functional Python 3 port + wanted to know if you're interested in that (and if so, what you'd like to do about the installer, since bbfreeze is long-dead lol)

Backuping my old files for new PC, found out about Miasmata screenshots, I just wanted to thank you for developing such an unique game, I still remember the map triangulation and botanical research to cure the disease. It was very nice and touching game! Hope you guys still do good.

Just got a reply from Bob. Turns out the "increased technical complexity of both the game engine and asset creation" is why the game's taking longer to develop than Miasmata. Lots of experimenting and prototyping as well.

Hey man, im a modder too, i just started messing with a game that has some secrets, but i can't see them , since the game has barely any lighting, soo im trying to make the place a little brighter, i hope you accept me on steam and help me figuring this , im trying to make it happen for months!

Download Miasmod from the sticky and play around with some of the values to see what you can do. I don't have it in front of me at the moment, but if I recall correctly the creature's attack parameters is under something like creature/animation or behaviour or similar - pretty sure that the word "CLAWS" in an entry signified an animation that would harm the player. There's a bunch of parameters controlling it's aggressiveness you can mess with, but it's really trial and error to see what does what. Player movement parameters can all be altered as well (IIRC look under "player"), though if you make yourself run faster you will need to try to tweak things some more so you don't trip over as easily. Don't worry about messing up your game - create a new mod and mess around with things in there and worst case scenario you can just delete your mod and re-sync the alocalmod.rs5 file.

Hi darksword! i tried to download a mod that makes the cat less aggressive but the file is gone! I wanted to know the modder program can i make the cat less aggressive myself? and can i increase my running speed a little? Can you explain a little what numbers go where to make this happen so i dont ruin the game? Im also trying to put certain flowers in my hut so when i go in a hut the flowers will be on the table is any of this possible? Please if you can give me an idea as to the numbers thank you in advance! If you give me the info ill be happy to make a new copy of the creature tamed and ill upload it back on the steam page so others after me will have it again and they wont have to email you. Ok???

Awesome, glad you liked them! Sonata Arctica is another of my favourite bands and I'd highly recommend checking them out. There's a lot of good bands in the Symphonic, Power, Progressive and Gothic subgenres of Metal - Nightwish, Within Temptation, Epica, Kamelot and Lacuna Coil are all good bands to check out to get into the genre. A few others I particularly like are Delain, Dreamtale, Xandria, Edguy, Alestorm, Sirenia and Nemesea.
