At this point buy this game. Its the best mount and blade experience out there. It's hella fun. but for posterity the original review is below.



OLD REVIEW NO LONGER ACCURATE:

Listen, I waited six years personally for this game. And as somebody who loved Warband, I just can't recommend the game in its current state.

It's unfinished, lacking even basic functionality in some areas. It's buggy, unoptimized, and honestly perplexing sometimes.

And I know, everyone cries "it's early access!" but yeah, early access after 8+ years in development comes with a *little* higher of a bar than this...

Don't get me wrong, it shows great promise, and when it works it's lovely. But there just isn't enough there, and what is there is too frustrating to be worth it. There are some mods that have been pumped out within a day to fix glaring issues. Why couldn't the devs address these already?

The worst part is that features that are incomplete don't even have a placeholder indicator. I was playing through a campaign, leveling up my character, dumping points into perks and whoops! Wouldn't you know it! Turns out those perks aren't even implemented, so as far as *this* version of the game is concerned, I gimped myself for no reason, irrevocably, with no way to know.

Overall, check back later. I would *happily* change this recommendation to positive if given the chance. But I need a reason to...
