Only spent about 20 mins or so in the game thus far but loving it. Awesome sense of character and while the controls are a little clunky, running around as a bear is great fun. Will update review once more time in the game.

Refunct is a great little title that is pretty much exactly what it says on the box. It's quite short, but it feels very rewarding to finish and I will almost definitely fire it up again to play through a second time at least. A skilled first person platform player can finish this in about 15-20 minutes, but there is no real restrictions or push for you to go fast or anything. Entirely relaxing and fun. And awesome soundtrack!

This game is wonderful. It's beautiful aesthetically and conceptually. It might take a bit of thinking to piece together the narrative, but it's very nice if you put the effort in. It may look a little dated, and running on the Unity engine makes it feel a little clunky at times, but that doesn't matter. It feels very much like a spiritual sequel to Shadow of the Colossus and anyone who likes unique experiences should really give it a go.

The game itself is awesome. It can be legitimately terrifying playing as both sides of the struggle. The much debated limited lifetime of the game is a good idea, in my mind.

Sadly, the game died in the first week and now there is honestly never anyone playing. This also means the life count will never hit 0. The developers have been pretty useless in keeping the community informed and it honestly looks like it's over for The Flock, so despite teh game being a lot of fun, I cannot give it a thumbs up.

Very useful tool. It lacks the most recent standards for Physics Based Rendering, but it's still useful nonetheless, and a LOT cheaper than the competition that offers the same level of quality for normal maps, heightmaps, etc.

UPDATE: By using the beta build available of MindTex 2 you can generate PBS maps and it's amazing. One of the best options on the market, especially when you consider the price! Amazing software!

It’s incredibly hard to review a title like Home is Where One Starts… Unlike other games in it’s genre, the length, couple with the fact that the main strength is it’s narrative, mean that I can’t discuss the plot much, and it really is a delivery system for a touching and emotional story. It saddens me that a lot of people will scoff at the title’s length, even with a super low $2.99 price point. But I cannot stress this enough – if you are someone who is willing and bale to immerse themselves into a touching plot, or someone who just likes to be moved on a level that many games simply don’t offer, then Home is Where One Starts… is a very important piece of gaming art that you simple cannot pass up. Sure it’s brief, and sure there might not be any ‘traditional’ gamey mechanics… but that does not rob it of being one of the most touching and well thought-out experiences available to date.

Early Access Review
There are points during Nevermind where I felt my stomach turning. I felt literally sick, and I cannot even imagine how this would have worked if I did have one of the sensors. Nevermind is disgustingly well made. Currently, the amount of content is quite low, but what is there is among the best horror fuelled gameplay that you can find, and there’s more on the way. Hopefully developer Flying Mollusk can maintain the level of quality and intensity present in the game so far and deliver a truly remarkable title. Nevermind is a game to keep your eye on if you are a horror fan. Just don’t expect the game to be friendly!

Lemma is easily the best first-person parkour title out there. I enjoyed every single moment in this game, from the utterly frustratingly mind-bending level design in later levels, to the crazy fun parkour movement mechanics, to the crytic and surreal narrative delivery. Excellent game and amazing experience. For more, check out my full review over at Shoddy Pixels: http://shoddypixels.com/lemma-review/

---REVIEW UPDATED FOR FULL RELEASE VERSION---

Trigger Saint really is a rare case. Rare enough is it for a game in Early Access to actually get finished, it’s even rarer for that game to get better over time. It’s even rarer still that the game has character and a developer behind it who clearly loves their product. Whilst it can be beaten in less than two hours, it will take much longer than that to learn how to do it in that time. And if you get into it, there’s even leaderboards for highest scores and largest combos. All this and for well under USD $10, you really should give Trigger Saint a good look in, if you’re able to handle having your ass handed to you time and time again!

8.9/10
