It's a cute little hidden object game. Just be aware that it's very, very short. There are about seven levels, I believe.

I'm sure this won't be a popular review but I'm still rating it as a recommended, even if only because Steam doesn't have a 'neutral' rating. I think it's still a decent game and I'll probably get my money's worth since I got it on sale, but there are significant issues that make it nowhere near as good as Far Cry 3 or 4, to me.

The story is kind of... bad. Or boring, I guess. Sure, Far Cry doesn't have the greatest stories, but it at least usually has entertaining antagonists or at least the last two definitely did. This one, the enemies are a religious cult and the head of the cult is about as entertaining as that sounds. Voss and Pagan are worlds apart from this guy.

One of the major points though is that they removed the minimap so that players would 'not really know where to go next or what to do' and it would encourage exploring. Yeah... great... but I don't buy shooters, and especially don't buy a Far Cry game for realism and exploring. Along with that, they got rid of the tower climbing, which isn't such a bad thing as it became something of a joke along the way, but that also means no climbing of towers to reveal part of the map. Now, the only way to discover things is to literally wander around the map while you play and/or hope you run across a map. That's great for something like Skyrim but with no real story to speak of and nothing really happening in this game world to give you a feeling of discovery, it's not that appealing. Again, those aren't necessarily bad changes for most people, but for me they really removed a lot of the fun for me.

If you like the idea of having to explore and having more 'realism' by having no minimap and don't really care about a story or having an appealing 'villain', then I'm sure you'll probably like it. The rest is about par for a Far cry, they're just trying to make things too realistic for my taste with this entry. The ending was terrible and made the entire game, story and your actions both, completely pointless.

The humor and feeling of fun is just gone out of the series with this entry, in favor of an attempt at more 'realism' and blandness. It's even referenced in one side quest where one NPC talks about preferring Blood Dragon and fun, instead of Far Cry and the fans screaming for realism. If this is the way the series is going and 6 will be more like this one than 3 or 4, I have no interest in buying further entries.

The game is fun, but it's definitely the weak link in the series. One of the most fun elements to me, the powers, is almost non-existent in this game. You get 3 powers... and no upgrades or changes to them. The Foresight ability is just a nuisance, compared to the previous versions of the 'loot vision' type powers. Displace is a two click travel ability with no real reason for adding a second step to it. You mark where you want to go, then activate it again to actually go there.

All in all, it's a decent game and I'll still finish it for the story and because it's Dishonored, but I'm feeling like I could've skipped buying it and just watched a let's play and been just as satisfied with it. If you like Dishonored for the stealth and looting, you'll probably have no issues with the game, but overall it feels like a lazy entry in the series.

I've played all the Bloons games, all the way back to the beginning with the flash games and have been a big fan. Having said that, I don't find this one as good as BTD5 was. It's definitely a good game and I'm enjoying it, but there have been changes and additions that I'm not too stuck on. Splitting the tower skill trees into 3 instead of the 2 that it used to be has its good and bad sides and I can't quite decide where it falls for me. And taking away some monkey abilities and giving them to a 'new' monkey feels a little lazy and dumb. Speaking of that, there aren't very many new monkey types at all, unless you count the 'hero' monkeys that you can use now. I think there are two new ones, that's all.

Adding line of sight on the maps is a big minus in my opinion though, you need to be even more careful where you place your monkeys now or you might actually put them where they can't hit anything, even though they're right next to the pathway.

I'm definitely not a fan of the apparent greed added into this game with the microtransactions. Giving options to buy monkey money and things I couldn't care less about and have no problem with, but making things like the double money buff now cost real money instead of the in game currency it was in the previous game isn't the best idea, to me. And $18 for that one buff?? Give me a break. Is BTD7 going to start selling individual monkeys now like Plants Vs Zombies 2 does? Just no. I didn't expect these guys to start down the greedy road the bigger developers are on.

All-in-all it's still a good game if you like tower defense games, but if I didn't have either of them, I'd definitely buy BTD5 before I bought this game.

Also... no bloonchipper and no dartling gunner in this game.

It's a plants vs. zombies copy, just like it looks like. Unfortunately, it doesn't do a single thing better than the game it's trying to piggyback on. It's slow, it's boring, the tutorials explain the parts that are identical to PVZ, but explain nothing about the parts of the game that are slightly different, and most annoying (to me) when playing in windowed mode, the stupid game keeps re-centering itself on my screen so I have to repeatedly adjust where it's located.

Even for the price, if I hadn't gotten this game as a 'mystery game' in a bundle, I'd have been disappointed in spending money on this thing. It just makes me want to play Plants Vs Zombies instead.

If you play games in windowed mode, don't expect to be very good with this one. There's no way to change the window size or resolution in the game and some of the items you're looking for can be so small you barely see them. In windowed mode, there are a couple that you literally can't see as more than a smudge or dot.

This is the only hidden object game I've ever seen that ran slowly and has framerate problems for me. Framerate issues in a hidden object game are just ridiculous.

From the makers of that game you loved, the WarZ, comes WarZ 2.0. Or maybe closer to 1.2. The majority of resources appear to have been ripped from WarZ (yes, it's "infestation" now), just like they did with WarInc before that. Zombies are still the ridiculous-looking creatures that run with their arms at their sides and use the same (bad) animations from the previous game. In fact, all the animations are simply dreadful. I would expect this from a game over a decade ago or a team just starting out, but but the only conclusion at this point is that they're simply incompetent or don't care.

Sounds and animations are no better than previously, with a lot of sounds being completely inaccurate to the source. For example, punching a glass door sounds like a gunshot. Attack animations don't match up to the hit detection in the least and you'll very often have no idea why you took damage or why you actually hit/missed the zombie with your attack. Trees "blow" in the wind with a motion as if they're one of those novelty robotic dancing flowers.

Items still float over a lot of surfaces (yet another thing they never got working in the last game).

Textures are laughable and, while I don't care about graphics in a game as long as it's fun, seeing visible 'seams' from where things are stacked on top of each other is just stupid. Some things, "zombies" included, still sit halfway into the ground or whatever object they're supposed to be on top of.

It's still one giant walking simulator, with it taking me well over 15 minutes to run from one area of any note to the next and the actual 'survival' aspect is still almost nil, since items (food and water even) are plentiful if you head to any noteworthy location.

There appear to be plenty of craftable items, which can be a plus. Variety of items is actually something I kind of liked in the previous game. PVE servers can be fun for a while, if you're the exploring/looting kind of person, as I am.

I'm willing to call it an improvement to the WarZ, but not in any real way that makes it a much better game. The biggest plus I've found is that they didn't con money out of anyone because there's no (required) cost to play.

It's pretty good for a old school, dungeon crawl style RPG, like Wizardry. If you buy it, I'd wait for a sale though. While it's good, it's also got several bugs and ZERO audio controls. Chances are, you're going to hate the music in the game after a while and the only thing you can do about it is mute the sounds in your windows mixer.

The game is fair for what it is, I suppose. It's VERY short and takes a little time to figure out what sight and fire range the soldiers and turrets have.

You can move your own zombie, but only tell your follower ones to 'attack', 'stop', and 'follow me'. Really, this is something I'd expect on Armor Games or Kongregate, rather than a paid game on Steam. If you're willing to pay for a game of that type, get it on a good sale.

All-in-all, I really can't recommend this game as one to get unless you're REALLY into the idea and don't mind games that might take you less than an hour to finish.

Not a bad game if you like tower defense things. However (and this is a big however) it appears to be abandonware now, while the free versions still get updates. That wouldn't be terrible, but the game has broken achievements, VERY few maps, and "upgrades" that appear to do absolutely nothing in the paid version.
