While shorter than I'd like, Ghostrunner was one of those games where I knew nothing about it, I just saw it in the store, thought the trailer looked good, bought it on sale and had an amazing time. I haven't played a game that didn't hold my hand perfectly, a sentence that makes no sense but I'll explain.

From the start you just have to follow the flow of the map, the wall you're running on leads to a downward slope, you slide down it and theres nothing but walls in front, no floor, so you run on the walls. You aren't told where to go aside from the overall objective markers. In the puzzle areas you aren't given any hints, you just have to figure it out, and in some games I've played thats been a negative, left me not wanting to play or getting bored, but in Ghostrunner, it adds to it.

It helps you feel in control of your character, you feel as lost as he does and then when you figure out the way to go then it makes sense, you dont feel lost and you know how x thing works a bit better and can factor it in when needed, you learn while your character learns, the right way. As well as some lovely gore and surprisingly nice visuals considering where the game takes place Ghostrunner comes with, what I would consider, a good story and a good ending. I beat the game only 10 minutes ago and it felt rewarding. A good way to spend 6.2 hours, and more to come as I try 100% the game as best I can.

I can only hope for more Ghostrunner content, whether it be a sequel or dlc. Well done to all devs involved

Early Access Review
Terrifying when you're alone, even if your friends are just outside the house. Daunting at first glance but you get the hang of it super quick. Luck plays a bigger factor than I'd like, the ghost could give you 2/3 pieces of evidence then not give the 3rd for 20 minutes, or it could give all 3 in the first 5 minutes, both examples I've experienced. Regardless, still a very solid game, especially with friends. Buy it, pogchamp.
