I'm not a huge souls fan and have only seen game play of earlier Dark-Souls games. However i promised to play this game, and so far I've not been disappointed. Bosses seem hard but i found that if some place was feeling too challenging there has been always some other place i could go to get stronger, and come back after to defeat the challenges i left behind. Items, spells, companions and consumables you find along the way help making defeating enemies easy the more you explore, and you truly feel like you get rewarded for exploring. Game does have a reputation of being "hardcore" and perhaps an elitist community, but its a game ment to be enjoyed. So far I've enjoyed 100% of my time.

Don't let others dictate how this game should be played.

Fun, fair, no pay to win, if you can get over with the fact that characters and setting are not conventional... its the best character building game out there.

Don't bother buying rust unless you are confident on being able to make friends ingame or have a friend or group of friends willing to play this with you.... Soloplaying rust is not as much fun as it is with teamwork and teamplay... you will be missing more of the fun and be more frustrated at others if you try to survive alone in cold and harsh world of rust.

This is not dayz... even naked players can pull an AK out of their orthos slot... and theres no visual indication what person might have on him in his inventory... might it be a rock... bazooka... ak... grenade. Shoot first... check inventory... if hes clean you can rez him if you like.
