Maybe a bit on the shorter side, but still a thoroughly enjoyable action indie game.

Dear Ubisoft,
every time I open and close the game I have to relogin into Ubisoft Connect because the "remember login" and "remember pc" functions don't work. Incredibly annoying, especially as it works with EVERY other Ubisoft game. Booting Odyssey, not an issue, I am logged in. And then, if you don't want to support Steam CloudSaves, okay. But, please, at least get your own cloudsaves to work as when I close the game I can't sync to the cloud because, guess what, I am logged out. Even more annoying than the missing Achievements. That surely is also just a bug that will soon be fixed, right?

And they fixed.
Game runs so much smoother than at Steam Launch and Ubi Connect actually also works now. Will update if I ever get to finish the game. Still no Achievements though which is still a bit of a bummer.

Early Access Review
A bit sad to see so many bad reviews about the game without anybody seemingly having tried it in depth.

TL:DR
Its fun, its free and its not p2w, so give it a chance if you like ARPGS. The game actually reminds me a lot of Torchlight 2. Now if only phase beasts existed :). Maybe in a future season. Added: Classes are prohibitively expensive. :(
But its a mobile game (crying)
Well yeah, it is. But the things we gain through the dual release on pc and mobile are pretty nice. The problem is obviously the ui, which honestly isn't that bad, I've played worse. What we gain is being able to play a level on the go. You're travelling by train or waiting for you appointment with the doctor? Just play a few maps and grind some loot/ xp. Where it gets clear though that the game is more pc oriented than mobile oriented are some boss fights in the endgame. If you dont follow a guide for one of the op builds, at one point its gonna get a bit harder sometimes and on mobile its frustratingly hard to predict and see boss patterns with so little screen real estate.

Gameplay
I've only experienced playing the warrior yet, but so far it's entertaining to say the least. Very fluid combat with a good amount of skills that are all pretty unique. Fighting is entertaining and movement through the maps even more so with the movement skills.

Skills and Talents/ Build Variety

Build possibilities are awesome. Basically you choose a class but the rest is up to you. You pick a warrior. The general path is close combat with high fire affinity, but you can also choose to go ranged or f.e. create an Ice Warrior. My first warrior build is skilled on ice and even though it can't keep up in regards to damage with certain broken combinations it is a viable option.
*3: Now that the games been out a while and after a bit more playtime Ive tried out another few classes and theyre all fun and unique in their own way. The biig problem is the pricing though. Even though the game is still in beta, it seems like the only hero you currently get is the warrior and the rest needs to be bought. That just kills the f2p content and even if youre willing to splurge, buying all the heroes really is needlessly expensive. Until heroes are cheaper this review will be negative. Dont let this stop you from trying out the game though, story, seasons, gameplay and grinding is plenty fun.

Endgame
The fully voiced (with great voice actors but really bad translation) story continues until you reach lvl 60. After that the endgame starts. You unlock the netherrealm where you have to grind a variety of maps with a huge variety of modifiers that you slowly collect and upgrade. Bosses with rare equip and other loot included. Once youve maxed out all planes you unlock the last one where the grind for the best Items just starts.

Other Mechanics

Seasons : Seasons are roughly three months long and come with a battle pass (one tier free and one for 17.99€ or smth/ the premium tier gives you some skins and auto loot, but other than that just doubles the free pass rewards) and an additional gameplay feature. This first season the theme is corruption. Some of the Stuff it includes is a corrution meter on maps, where if you slay enough enemies you're able to spawn waves of potentially harder foes or even corrupted bosses that can drop some good loot. Other than that you can also corrupt your items for some iLevel boosts.
Upgrading mechanics Exists in a multitude of ways and seems to be working fine so far. Including crafting, enchanting and upgrading your gear. Nothing is locked to premium currencies.

The not so good
As the game has just been released there are some bugs here and there. Rarely monsters that spawn trough corruption get stuck in objects. Skills and buttons sometimes dont work in the hub(mouse clicking does and it never happens in levels so its nothing game breaking) and the loot filters sometimes break. Nothing major but still happens. No coop as of now is also a big minus. Except for the Hubs, Worldchat and Auction House it's basically a singleplayer experience atm.

to be seen
As I enjoy the gameplay very much I hope the game will have a long life cycle with continuous updates and content additions. Whether thats a thing remains to be seen. Havent seen any bugfix patchnotes yet, but we've already gotten two new hero paths wich already is a good amount of content for the first weeks after launch.

Pay to win
"Lost Ark is more ptw than Torchlight Infinite". There you go, my estimation. As far as I have seen theres nothing major you can spend your rm on in order to gain an advantage. No influencing the in game market through real money like in lost ark where if you didnt rmt and also had a real life, no chance for reaching endgame or gaining meaningful amounts of premium currency through the marketplace in the first few moths. The only things you can buy with money are skins, some respawn tokens which ease the grind to level 100 a bit, auto loot through the season pass(qol) and pact spirits that arent really that impactful. There are also no Token limits on the grind like in Diablo Immortals which really is an abysmally bad game concerning the monetization, so no worries that you're suddenly stuck and the game wants you to pay to progress further.

Edit 1: Typos

Edit 2// Skins :
If you're a sucker for skins like me, you're not gonna like them in this game.
1) They're effing expensive to get. Classic Lootboxes and Stuff. No complaints there.
2) At least they're region wide
3) Effects are cool but actual skins are what counts and each skin is ofc class bound. The bad thing about that is that Infinite´s Season strategy is new chars every season, so if you always want skins, you'd have to charge up hundreds of dollars every season. Kinda sucks.

Edit 3: More Classes
