Slime Rancher: Its cute, and that's about it. The game play loop is basically capture slimes and raise them. It is about as shallow as a puddle, but you may find enjoyment in it as a relaxing time waster.

I can't recommend it for two reasons however, it lacks a character creator and it advertises its sequel on the homepage.

110 Hours my life gone. Evaporated. To dust.

I hate Square Enix. From there decisions to making stupid invasive DRM on all the new FF games to this game having the community responsible for fixing the steam version.

Let me tell you my story, you can be the judge, I love FFVII, I love Final Fantasy games in general...and this is why it pains me so much to write this. I spent a fair amount of time enjoying this game when it worked. Then due to a crash from my computer the game would hang up on the load screen. I consulted the steam forums for a solution, tried everything. Eventually getting it work by deleting game file settings, not realizing this ♥♥♥♥ isn't backed up by Steam or by Square Enix or App-crap-bot (whatever this mobile garbage developer is). Yep I got around the game not working, it launches now, but I lost all my progress all my data. All for nothing. I haven't been this dejected with gaming in over a decade.

Its sad too, because I really enjoyed this game, despite its grind, it was quite fun. But losing everything...it hurts.

Maybe I will get back into it, and try to finish playing all the stories, maybe I won't. Time will tell if I go back to this abusive game, just know when you install this, you could lose everything, in an instant....depressing really.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is a quality single player experience which borrows heavily on the original. Without saying to much, it isn't a remake, its actually a subtle sequel, and yes I agree with most people that have been long time fans of both Final Fantasy and the Final Fantasy VII universe specifically, the original is better. Where this game deviates from the original's story and environments is where it suffers, luckily for the majority of the game it does follow along. The Yuffie DLC story which is included in the base game is all original but fills in gaps in the original lore. This game does require the user have a base understanding of the original, and playing it without such knowledge would likely be highly confusing as much of the content expects you to be familiar with both the original FFVII as well as the spin off games like FFVII Crisis Core.

All that said, its still a moving experience that as an OG FFVII gamer moved me emotionally in ways few games in this modern era have. Its has its best girl simulator aspects (comment your favourite), despite being censored from the originals. The combat is great too, although nothing original. And most critically they have no Denuvo malware bundled with the game. So the verdict, full recommend! (Disclaimer: you should probably play Final Fantasy VII the original game before playing this)

All my paid content is now free for all? Nah bro....feels bad for paying for stuff that becomes free to play. Also the campaign and everything good from Beyond Light is free, don't buy this.

Early Access Review
Palworld

The objective of this game is to survive by making friends.

You capture "Pals" and put them to work.

You can also capture humans, and make them your slaves too.

See mom, you told me playing videogames would never make me any friends, but now I got lots of Pals!

Eternal Return is an enjoyable battle royal that is easily accessible to most audiences. The gameplay style is MOBA-ish in that you are at an angled top down perspective, and you fight across a vacant city with random monsters to grind for experience. The main gameplay loop is killing other players and grouping with your team of 2 allies to do so. It is a unique game and fun, although when you start the game will put you against bots for a good couple hours so you have to slog through that to get to the actual players. Once you get there though the real game begins, and with a low time to kill, you will be dying and losing a lot. That's the fun in battle royal, and overall this game made a genre I normally don't enjoy fun to play. In short, full recommend, although be warned there is a steep skill curve.

Gatekeeper: Infinity, more like Risk of Rain 2.5. I hate doing comparisons in reviews but it is unavoidable here, this game borrows heavily from Risk of Rain 2 specifically, in terms of art style, combat, item progression, characters and story(?). This seems like the game Gearbox should have been publishing... it offers hours of gameplay and some degree of challenge, it is however easier than most games of the genre and I literally would depending on my run get to the threshold of unkillable, half of my playtime is just one run where I went 4 hours plus and cleared stage 60 before deciding to end the run. The best part about this game is its absolutely free, and there is quite a bit of enjoyment to be had, even at this free price point. Sure infinite is just the 'demo game' for the main game release Gatekeeper, but don't be fooled its more a full game than most things on the market, full recommend. :)

DiaBLOWS 4 chunks. Yep folks, another big budget goof by one of the greatest developers to ever fall from grace. Diablo IV is at best an ok game, but it is certainly measured by high standards. The visuals are good, the gameplay is same-old, and the story falls under 'sure whatever' territory. The real problems are how Blizzard manages this game and all releases these days.

Blizzard is hell-bent (pun intended) on exploiting money from their zombie following (myself included) and locking content in battlepasses, putting predatory DLC and making people rebuy their games on the same gaming platform (I still need a Blizzard account so this counts as the same platform) is awful but I would say forgiveable as it is pretty standard corporate greed these days.....

.....now for the unforgiveable, Blizzard will ban users without reason, censor discussion, have goofy community policies which contradict everything that made them successful decades ago. The worst part is they are in denial on all this, in Overwatch 2 for instance the development team went out with a statement so thick on copium that they basically claimed to be getting review bombed, they also implemented an automatic ban policy curated by a flawed system, and oh boy hope you don't encounter any bugs or need Blizzard support to help you, because their support services will give you the run around and corporate copy-paste lines for days (I could probably simulate a more rewarding experience with a chat AI, since both would ultimately accomplish nothing in rectifying the game).

TLDR I spent money on this game so you didn't have to, please upvote this, because this is less about the core game itself and more about all the things they have built onto and around this game and their other releases. I'd like Blizzard to explain away this as a review bomb....

....all that aside I am still a shill for Blizzard in some regards and hope we get Warcraft 3 Reforged lol :)

I was having a bad day....but I found the cure for that.... HoloCure - Save the Fans!

Its a simple game, with lots of fun and repeatability. I don't know anything about the source material but that makes it no less enjoyable. My first stage run with Mori ended in a stage clear, so its perfectly accessible to gamers of all skill abilities! Would recommend! Also Blizzard needs to learn from HoloCure!
