New UI is a complete downgrade to the original in every aspect. Definitely not worth it for new or returning players.

Good game. PvE is pretty fun and the story is somewhat engaging. PvP however is sweatier than a Chinese sweatshop and everyone who plays it either plays it once and then never again or becomes a meta slave who forgets the PvE and story even exist. In summery, just play the PvE stuff, it'll save you the headache.
