A really good game if you are into action combat & survival games. the progression is a lot of fun - and there is a lot of it to be done.

While the game may have some technical issues, like crashes and desync. Or the most annoying when using custom keybinds the game completely breaks, which results in not being able to interact with the ball like saving a goal as a goalkeeper.

It still is a TON of FUN and kind of reminds me of the early stages of rocket league on steam/ps4

it is hard to decide if i want to give dd2 a thumbs up or down.
at this point i have beaten the main story but not the end-endgame and i feel kind of burned out and to a certain degree disappointed.
so let me list a couple of positive and negative things so you can decide for yourself if this game is worth your money or your time.

positive:
- fun combat - although it is getting quite repetitive for each vocation at the point you reach its max level
- gorgeous game and open world
- great character editor
- exploring is fun most of the time

negative:
- performance is terrible in cities (with dlss on a 3080TI)
- but i would say the overall average is 60fps
- sometimes the game feels like sub 30fps even though i m at 70+ fps
- there is so much back tracking
- there are time sensitive quests in the world, but some don't really show up as quests and you can miss out on them
- with all the travel on foot you are doing, getting stuck or slowed down by the tinniest steps is soooo annoying

neutral:
- even though there was an uproar about all the mtx (dlcs), at no point in the game was i forced or directed towards a store, to be honest i dont even know where it is
- story is somewhat interesting but with all the running around you are doing and trying to remember what you have to do where i kind of lost sight of it
- allthough i had fun for 60+hours and potentially more with the end-endgame i not really interested in continuing
- having played a lot of monster hunter world and rise i can say that the boss models and behaviours are reused, especially the ones of the dragons feel awfully familiar

Best ARPG

good overall story, fun gameplay, but towards the end it gets quite repetitive

lots of fun. in single player or 2 player coop. general look of the game seems to be inspired from borderlands. gameplay is smooth and fast. shooting stuff is fun with most weapons

great game. after a couple of hours it feels like playing a from software souls game.

the added layer with the lantern makes for some interesting changes to the formular.

if you are having issues with performance, try disabling dlss. for me i get more fps this way (dont know why?)
or just buy new hardware. if you want games that move past the restrictions of console graphics you need to have hardware that has more oomph

One of the greatest games i've played in my lifetime.
Great stories (quests), great gameplay, great sound design, great voice acting, great items
everything is great

some technical hiccups, but they could all be fixed by verifying the game files
