It’s still the same old imperfections holding it back, but that doesn’t stop Rome II being the best Total War so far – and one of the most accomplished strategy games of recent years.

This first couple of games in this series had a certain amount of charm and freedom to them. The third one felt cold and linear to me, and this one looks like it's going down the same road.

I'll still buy it because I'm a big fan of the series, but my expectations are definitely tempered.

I think this game is a good mix between arcade and simulation. So far I am really satisfied after completing few first championships. Can't speak for others, but racing wheel owners should really consider getting this game.

Pretty fun, needs some work though :o
