Context: Was gifted from a friend to commemorate(?) becoming a real-life dad for the first time a few months back.
Control Method: Xbox 360 controller
'Thoroughness of playthrough' - completed 80% of achievements within first playthrough, remaining bonuses completed in 2-3 hours afterwards, though some collectibles left undiscovered,

Plot: The storyline concept was pretty unique and a lovely way to learn about the 'dad universe' without over-explaining aspects of the world & lore; Greatly appreciated the variety of dads in the game, and definitely had a few moments that hit close to home!

Gameplay: The monsters are just varied enough to build up confidence & add challenge when encountering more difficult variants, but can be avoided decently enough to make backtracking not a complete slog.
As I took 3-5 months to finish the game between other projects, a map or dialogue archive would've been extra appreciated, but the level design is straightforward enough that it wasn't a dealbreaker.
Note - There's an option to enable an 'auto-fire' function after aiming with the right stick; it made the throwing mechanics vastly more fluid.

Final impressions: A very light & breezy metroid-lite game in the art/style of gunpoint, and a great way to lose a few hours between sleep sessions.

Definitely a solid value for $5-10!

I'm glad I bought it on sale for $10 - you get a slightly newer version of Typing of the Dead.

It doesn't have as much of the silly charm as the original (or characters with dreamcasts & keyboards), and the bosses are much more plain.

The Football manager DLC was fun, but considering the limited replay value (as the typing is much more disjointed and less ridiculous than previous). I'd love to play again with the new DLC, but it's definitely not worth $6.

A fun, interesting approach to the typical 'espionage' game. The interactions with characters and the ways you deal with them can lead them to help you, harm you, or even harm each other makes for a heck of a fun time.

P.S: Get Bullet Time. best effect possible.
