This game could easily be fun with friends or people you've played other games with.

However, if you are hoping to pub it... be prepared for frustration... lots of frustration...
I would best describe the majority of the community here as an among us party with lots of children and trolls. not great when you're trying to learn the game and get into it.

The other part of the community seems to be sweaty diehards who won't hesitate to kick you if you are the least bit inexperienced. you know the type.

I've found a couple good souls in an unofficial voice chat server who are willing to let me come along and help me learn. it's just the sheer quantity of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to wade through that makes this game utterly frustrating...

gameplay wise, it's pretty well rounded. not too many bugs I've seen yet, but I'm still less than 100 hours in. there's a couple minor things with poor collision in certain areas... but then again what do you expect from tight spaces. still a little annoying to die when getting stuck leaving after having swam through an unground tunnel with no issues initially. but that ain't a big deal overall.

as I said my biggest complaint is with the community and how difficult it is to get into the game because of this. see below.

I've had failure to connect several times, been kicked in under .5 a second of loading in several times, been given ridiculous interviews and outright asked personal irl information to get into lobbies, had cheaters, trolls galore, and just plain out more irritation and frustration than actual decent gameplay.... to the tune of 1 in 40 lobbies being a successful join and more than 2 days.

basically the pub community is BEYOND ♥♥♥♥!!!!!!

now if you find a vc to crew up, i've had better success there. but otherwise the game has been a bit of a dumpster fire and more grief than it's worth to join.

if I could find an actual group to play with it would be fine. hell if there were an official discord for this like there is for GTFO by 10cc...

game has far too many paywalls and locked content for my liking. not to mention LOCKBOXES.

awesome game. AMAZING ATMOSPHERE AND MUSIC SETUP... gives you the creeps with how they do it all. you get used to it over time but there's always a jump scare for the unwary or unaware.

the new rundown gives a decent enough tutorial in the way of first hand experience before it throws you down the rabbit hole. the deeper levels are definitely difficult and many times require team coordination. This is a factor I LOVE! the resource drops are randomized and in different locations. the enemy spawns locations are randomized.

boosters can make things slightly easier but emphasis is still on experience and teamplay plus strategy (if you want to make your life easier you will attempt to strategize so you don't get swamped from all 3 sides)

integration with the clipboard is amazing as is the built in link to their official discord (the best place to squad up when you're not diving expeditions with your friends)

Absolutely fun and engaging with some dark humor. An odd journey. the puzzles were challenging at times. some of the levels don't autosave as much but that wasn't a problem since I usually leave a save point anyway. I'm looking forwards to playing the co-op campaign!

This game is AWESOME! Lots of gun action combined with sword combat and stealth (if only on solo missions). Can be a little tricky to get the co-op to work, but once you it's loads of fun. Best part is, there's virtually nothing in this game that you can't get for free. Money just makes it come faster.
