Avoid big towns and shipping centers, lots of locked doors and loot that is just not worth it.
Look for calm place near town with good access to food and water, look for medical supplies in early game and equip some melee weapons, try look for car but not necessary.

As a kid I was watching my dad goiing through rough times with Dr. Freeman. Now on my dad's death aniversary I've visited this awesome world and streets of City17.
I remember back than when this was new thing and Me and my dad we were just speechless. Now I know why..
This is the game I am keeping close to my heart as I can.
Completing this game was really deep feeling for me. Almost as with my dad behind me giving me his advices.
Next month I'm ordering VR with HL Alyx. Thinking about that my dad will never see HL world from Alyx's eyes makes me sad.
But once We meet again and I will describe all of my future adventures.
This is for you dad.
