I’d already put around a thousand hours into the FM23 version and tried getting back into that, but after seeing new match engine mods and other updates, I decided to pick up the latest one instead. I’m currently managing my favorite club, Chelsea, just to get back into the groove and learn how to properly develop young talent.

In my first league game, I lost 2-1 to Arsenal after they snatched a goal at the death. Arteta was jubilant, claiming my defeat was deserved and that I was running a tin-pot club.

He never beat me again. I smashed him 6-1, 3-0, and then 2-0 in the UCL semis. It’s like I never left.

Anyway, this series is fun, addictive as hell and it will always be one of my favorites.

Early Access Review
I love berserk.
I beat the game with the berserk class.
Everything in the way to the end felt so good to take out the Dragonslayer.

This was my first introduction to a new character in the Yakuza series who isn’t named Kiryu and I welcomed the idea. Originally, when I played it on console, I didn’t like the turn-based combat. I was used to rushing in and beating people up as Kiryu. But I decided to give it a genuine try on PC.

At first, I wasn’t a fan of the idea of an entirely different universe of characters, especially while Kiryu was on “hiatus.” I had grown accustomed to Kiryu and his adventures as he’s the only character, aside from Goro Majima, that I’ve really bonded with over the years of playing this series. However, Ichiban, the main character of this story, has really grown on me and surprisingly fast. Everything he does comes from a good place and is often for the sake of others, much like Kiryu (though minus the aura farms and the unnecessary shirt-ripping to flex the Dragon of Dojima coming out).

As for the gameplay: I’m still not the biggest fan of turn-based combat asonly a few games do it well, like Persona or Clair. But Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has never disappointed with their work, so I gave it a fair shot. Honestly, it wasn’t as bad as I expected. The turn-based system is well executed. Sure, it takes away some of the hype and intensity of the classic “bull-rush” brawls, especially during major boss fights, but it still does the job well.

The story itself is, in my opinion, decent. I thought the shift away from Kiryu and the original crew would be tough to swallow but by midgame, I wasn’t even thinking about them anymore. The game did a good job of explaining how Ichiban fits into a world where everyone and their mother knows about the Dragon of Dojima and his gang of loonies. My only real complaint is the villain, to be honest, he felt weak, and it seemed like every major twist was just conveniently thrown in for drama’s sake. Still, overall, the story was enjoyable.

The world is beautiful, reminiscent of Kamurocho, packed with side games and a ton of substories to explore and enjoy.

Overall, I really enjoyed my time in this new universe of Yakuza.

This game is clearly designed for schizophrenics with the art style and the direction of which most stories go.

It was funny seeing Michael Jackson and MC Ride on my screen, I wonder how they got that approved to be honest but I enjoyed every story that this game offered, some parts are repetitive but overall an enjoyable ride.

9/10. Genuinely such a fantastic soundtrack and even better stories.

n the midst of the censorship controversy, I’ll keep this review short and sweet.

I picked up this game on a whim, looking for a shooter with a touch of realism. 41 hours later, I can confidently say I’ve never enjoyed exercising police brutality more than I have with this game. Every suspect must die whether I can take them in alive or not. No criminal will roam my Los Sueños streets.

8/10. Will be back for DLC.

Genuinely such a beautiful game. Everything about it as a Souls game is perfect. Every world you travel to or explore is gorgeous, and nearly every boss is fantastic. It’s very hard to top a game like this , though they managed to with Elden Ring but Dark Souls 3 still holds a special place in my heart, especially because it has my favorite boss of all time, Slave Knight Gael.

World’s gorgeous, combat’s even better.

What can you really say about DS1 that has not been said? The first in a fantastic genre. Obviously comes with insane amount of flaws but those flaws make the game fantastic.

The bosses are great with notable ones being Gwyn, Sif and of course Ornstein and Smough. The less said about bed of chaos the better.

The greatest game of all time.

No long review because it would take too long but simply the greatest of all games.
