- Early parts of the game felt boring. Visually, it looks uninspired and lame. Combat wise, it wasn't fun either
- It gets more fun and feels more alive later on
- Bosses were fun to play against despite feeling pretty easy for the most part (it becomes wayy too easy when you use a dodging playstyle than a parrying one).
- Exploration was very fun. Was always excited to explore the areas for items
- Voice acting and sound was okay

initially was pretty terrifying, especially considering that i had a bad sense of resource management in games. so when i run out of ammo I felt powerless and was freaking out. the game makes u pretty paranoid and be very sensitive towards footsteps or the lack thereof

also had a lot of assumptions that made me do pretty stupid stuff, like often spamming headshots cause i thought it dealt more damage when its targeted towards the head and didn't know about the crosshair waiting thing .

one of my issues is that i wish the second run was more varied since it felt pretty samey for the most parts. i also encountered a problem with equipping weapons, wherein it doesn't display it and it kept being locked to a particular weapon even though i kept unequipping it. there was also some parts of the game where u cleared the room yet the music tries to make it seem like there is a threat, making it kind of meaningless.

game is pretty scary overall, but quickly becomes much less scary once u understand the behavior of the enemies and their weaknesses (this is not much of a complaint but just an observation)

- Great art. Has a visual stylistic identity, consistent, and very pleasing to look at.
- Amazing music
- If you've watched the anime, it improves it because it contextualizes some parts of it and adds additional explanations (like the time machine mechanics is even more in depth and the references are explained in the tips section)
- Answers the what-ifs in the anime through alternative routes. There are also parts/scenarios that wasn't included in the anime
- Great voice acting. They seem to speak a bit slower here than the anime, but at the same time express more.

- The game is very meta in a way that it doesn't feel like you immerse yourself and play as the character, instead the game is aware that it is a game and you are your irl self.
- It has an interesting ironic tragedy revolving around free will
- Reminds me of Lovesickness by Junji Ito

- Liked most of the story except some of the early parts
- Didn't like some of the side quests needed to farm items to prepare for the Boss. Especially Lost Sanctum part to unlock Nu's shop.

Finished it a long time ago through non-steam means, though I recently decided to buy it on steam to replay it. Although it's been approximately 3 years since my initial playthroughs, I still remember how addictive this game was. I never really completed the story since it continues even after finishing a single run, however, I can say that it was somewhat interesting (though I am not heavily invested in it). The Gods, themselves, had very entertaining personalities. The game has a really good soundtrack, which is really noticeable during boss fights. The art and level designs for this game is pretty good (though I was pretty annoyed with the lava floor in Asphodel, but that's more of a skill issue lol). The game is very replayable due to the variety of combinations you can try with the weapons and boons, and also due to the variability of the enemies themselves.

Although I only finished the third game in PC (Trials and Tribulations), I've completed the other two (the first one and Justice for All) through a Nintendo DS. In terms of the remasters' quality, it is pretty good: I have not encountered any bugs during the entirety of my playthrough; I found the chosen controls pretty intuitive; and the game sprites were pretty sharp on my high resolution monitor (4K). Even though I think that the sprites remaster could have been better, like in the sprites of the Apollo Justice Trilogy, I think that the remastered sprites for this game is pretty okay. I initially preferred the original version's sprites because I disliked several traits found in the remastered sprites—the soft looking shadows and monotonous line quality. Nonetheless, I was able to warm up to the updated designs and prefer it in the end.

As for the game itself, I recommend it due to a number of assets: (a) iconic and distinct soundtrack, (b) memorable and lovable characters, (c) compelling stories, and (d) fun game mechanics. The music is well made, with many characters having their own theme that complements their personality. The characters are quirky and humorous, with well-developed backgrounds and motivations that explain their behavior and actions. Each case has a different story and can have some wild twists and surprises (e.g., even if you correctly predict the culprit, the way they carry out their crime can be very interestingly convoluted); nevertheless, the story still maintains continuity by developing the identities of the main characters. The game mechanics usually contains two parts: (a) an investigation part and (b) a court trial part. The former mostly involves interacting with different characters, collecting potential pieces of evidence, and solving puzzles. On the other hand, the court trial mostly involves the players cross-examining the testimonies of witnesses, in which they try to find contradictions in any of their statements, and demonstrate it by either pressing them on it or presenting evidence pertinent to the contradiction.

Despite the free price, the game offers so much for players to enjoy. It has plenty of maps and community content (mods and additional maps), and is not riddled with microtransactions and bugs. For this reason, I highly recommend it if you are looking for a really fun co-op game to play with friends.
