Roguelite Asteroids. That's the basic concept here. But within the confines of that scope, Nova Drift explores just about every idea you could come up with for it in surprising depth!
The different ship and weapon type combos each have clear identities for a starting point of a run, but the combination of mods you select over the course of the run will lead you down even more diverse paths. Especially when you begin to experiment with wild mods & Super mods!

Gearbox managed to ruin just about everything with this DLC. While the stages and characters are cool, they managed to add a laundry list of gamebreaking bugs mixed between the DLC and the patch that came with it, ruining the game both with and without the DLC. I sincerely hope they manage to fix it all, but until then I cannot recommend wasting money on this.

A fantastic Time-Killer (IYKYK)

There are a few points where you notice that this game is in early access, specifically some places where the art assets have yet to come in, such as the collectibles and a few NPCs. Otherwise however, Hades 2 is a fully fleshed out sequel to Hades, bringing back what I loved about the original and adding new and exciting content to boot! There are already two entirely different paths to take as opposed to the original's single, more railroaded progression, and supergiant has already comitted to a third, which will be included at no additional cost when ready!

I'm not normally all that much of a City Builder player, but this game's roguelike aspects and meta-progression really seem to have solved that!

Now that the early server issues have been resolved, I can fully recommend this game!

It really strikes that balance between approachability and depth that ARPGs generally fail to. You can go in with no prior knowledge of the game and make an entirely viable build without needing to consult an external guide to be able to make it to the endgame without feeling totally worthless. Every step of the way the game encourages you to actually play rather than mucking about outside of it. You can't get stuck in an endless void of crafting on a single item, you can't flip items on the market because each item can only be sold once. Get in there and play!

If you want to go deep on build optimization you can work for specific stats on legendary gear of uniques that already have a low chance of legendary potential in the first place!

It's a one-time purchase with exclusively cosmetic microtransactions, you can't even pay real world money for stash tabs, meaning you're never going to feel like you need to pay more money to keep playing. And it's already absolutely been worth the $35 to me!

A solid gameplay loop that eventually opens up to some very creative game mechanics mixing the Roguelike and ARPG genres.

I've had loads of fun with this game in beta testing and with a responsive dev, fully expect it will continue to grow and improve as it moves towards completion.

I love me a good roguelike rendition of a non-roguelike genre, and Peglin definitely delivers that! It's still a relatively small game as it's early on in early access, but the Devs are continuing to put out updates and making the game even better!
It's already a ton of fun in it's current state!

As strange and beautiful as the land it hails from, Noita (Finnish for Witch,) will kill you. A Lot. A fair few of these deaths will not be your fault. If you can get over that however, you will find this physics simulation-turned-roguelite nothing short of addictive.

Spoilers Ahead: An interesting quirk of this game is that the vast majority of it's content actually resides in secrets which the unwitting may never encounter.
