Looks pretty, WASD movement is incredible, currently has limited build variety. But for an Early Access and given GGG's track record, this is a VERY promising Early Access.

It's a great expansion. Very difficult but (mostly) fair. But it does have valid criticisms:
- the camera is not having a good time, especially during some bossfights like Divine Beast
- performance is atrocious in certain areas
But there's so much good stuff:
- could be a standalone game, the new area is huge, lots of new enemies, weapons and bosses
- gorgeous visuals
- great dungeon design
- very unique areas and mechanics

Crashes on launch for me and a bunch of other people, even on fresh windows installs. Launches on Linux, but its completely broken on windows for me (and a few other people too). Tried pretty much all troubleshooting steps, nothing got it to work

Update: So I managed to fix it, by doing the hex Edit of the exe to override the game launch assertions (original fix from HZD) where you replace C7042500000000A7DCEA0D with 9090909090909090909090 in the .exe. Then I didn't have sound and I figured out that it was my Audio Interface causing the problems - the game somehow didn't launch with it connected. Once I installed the windows drivers for it (which I usually dont like to do, as the audio interface works without them the exact same) it works. Game is beautiful and runs great, so yeah.

Not playable. I basically get the same performance on max and on low settings on an r7 3700x and rx 7800xt. It is a stuttery mess. What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sad ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. MTX in a singleplayer game & terrible performance, name a better duo.

S tier. The foundry export is amazing. The software itself is fun and pretty intuitive to use. I do not regret this purchase.

Refunded. What a sad cash grab. 45€ for an unoptimized graphical upgrade is insane.

So as someone who's played DS1, 2 and 3, Sekiro and Elden Ring, I was expecting this to be more of a low effort clone to piggyback off of the success of the fromsoft games.

However, especially in terms of atmosphere this game is definitely able to stand on its own two feet. but also the gameplay is satisfying, it looks good, it controls well and the weapons are varied and interesting. I do tend to not have an idea where I am in a level and this game doesn't relly help that. The areas are tight and (at least for me!) it is hard to have an actual idea where I am in relation to Stargazers (this game's bonfires). An in-game map (at least a rough one) could've gone a long way for me.
All in all I certainly recommend it to fans of the genre.

This is an entire game made in order to celebrate one of the best RPGs ever made. It's full of love and respect for the source material, and for a FREE community made mod it is of incredible quality and scope.

Even if you haven't played Gothic 1 or 2, play this if it seems like fun to you. Then also play Gothic 1 and 2.
