One of those games that's more fun to watch than it is to play. The game plays pretty much as you expected, just pick a map and plop units down and watch them duke it out. It's entertaining for the first couple of battles but after that you've pretty much seen all this game can do. Not worth full price, only pick it up during a sale and be prepared to refund soon after as you will most definitely get everything this has to offer after 2 hours. 2/5

A great action-adventure game. Story is interesting, the gameplay is smooth and the combat sequences are a lot of fun. Took me about 7-8 hours to beat the story, with another 2 hours sprinkled in for completing optional areas and looking for collectibles. Don't expect head scratching puzzles though, as they were all extremely easy to figure out but still fun to complete. Had fun throughout and is definitely worth your time and money. 4/5

Friday the 13th is an asymmetrical third person horror game that challenges 8 players to survive against iconic slasher villian Jason Vorhees, who is of course, a playable character. The game plays very different depending if you're a camp counselor or Jason. As a counselor, you must work together with others to complete several different objectives that will ultimately allow you to escape the camp. While these objectives can be completed alone, if you play against a competent Jason, teamwork is required to survive. Playing as Jason grants you four unique abilities which allow you to teleport across the map and take down counselors one by one. There are multiple counselors and Jasons to play as, each with their own set of abilities and stats to cater to many different playstyles. The devs are working on expanding the game and are continually adding new Jasons and counselors as well as an entirely new gamemode which is coming out soon. Overall this is a very enjoyable game, but like any other multiplayer focused game, it can only reach its full potential if you're playing with good people. 4.5/5

A run and gun platformer that focuses primarily on its intricate, elegantly designed and extremely difficult boss battles. Cuphead's most prominent attraction is its artstyle, a callback to the cartoons of the 1930s and 40s, it is a beautiful game that shows a lot of love and care. However, it isn't the artstyle alone that won Cuphead its acclaim. The gameplay is fun, fluid and exciting. The boss battles at first are insanely difficult and you will die many, many times over the course of these fights but they are not impossible. Little by little you improve until you finally conquer the boss and move on. The rush you get after having finally beaten a boss that was tormenting you for hours is amazing. One of the best indie games on the market, worth the price and your time. 5/5

Perhaps the most accessible and noob friendly of Paradox's grand strategy games. A tutorial is present but you're better off just picking a major country and playing blind, learning as you go. The vanilla experience will give you many, many hours of gameplay with focus trees providing plenty of alt-history scenarios. However, the modding community is where this game shines. The majority of your hours will probably be spent playing the many different mods available that completely change your vanilla experience. Major props to the creativity of the modders here. Overall its definitely worth it and with a massive DLC coming soon that will not only expand the vanilla experience but increase modding capabilites even further you should definitely pick this up now. 5/5

A tactical/third person shooter hybrid that is reminiscent of X-COM. Gameplay encourages you to think tactically and plan ahead and it is very rewarding to see your strategy play out and succeed. Each squad member is a unique character with their own backstory and personality and there are many to choose from, allowing you to craft your optimal squad that is able to effectively handle the environment of any particular stage. Some stages allow you to approach them anyway you like, while others seem to heavily favor one playstyle over the other. The main story is lengthy and took me around 30 hours to complete. Skirmish and DLC battles (no extra cost) add several more hours as well as being able to replay the main story with NG+. The story is nothing special but the gameplay is unique and engaging. Its definitely worth your time and money. 4/5

A fast paced, straight to the point shooter with a creative story and wonderful graphics. The main story can be beaten in about 3 or 4 hours but NG+ as well as the arcade and duel modes offer many more hours of gameplay. A very enjoyable experience. 4/5
