Game is fine, privacy whiners have never read a EULA in their lives

There's still some leftover jank from Beta 3, the seasonal content cycle seems weird. going to at least play through the first season to see what's going on

Putting a disclaimer that the game doesn't work on windows 10 doesn't help when that disclaimer doesn't exist on every platform you sell it on...

I bought it for 50 cents from Humble Bundle, where there is no disclaimer. I'd say it was worth the money since I got it to run for about 20 min before I made the mistake of alt-tabbing out and bricking the game.

It launches like a poorly made Unity game, but looks like an old Sierra game - which were pretty at the time. They claim this game was from 2007, it feels more like something from 2002

Realistically, if your game doesn't run on a current OS - steam shouldn't allow you to sell it

Early Access Review
tried to cut off a part,
cutter too close to coolant,
coolant too close to reactor,
ship exploded,
nearly shat myself

11/10 - would stain pants again

This is obviously a case of a game leaving early Access too soon.
I bought this game during a server closure, unknowingly. Turns out, their patch broke a lot, so they took servers down to rollback - cool, good on them.
So i started a character in offline - fun fact, offline cannot play Online. So if you'd like to play with friends, you can't and you've wasted your time.
Servers came back up, so I started a new one online

Servers are now apparently down again - with no notice. Nothing on steam, nothing on the reddit, nothing

I can't encourage people to buy a game that obscures virtually every Skill Rune (i have some that say "increased damage" on 2+ runes, no indication how much), can't decide if you're allowed to play, and apparently half the ailments (status effects) don't work properly. This doesn't address the mobs inside walls - *I* managed to teleport inside a wall as well...

Should have stayed Early Access, at least then there would be an excuse for this, but if you're going to flag 1.0 release - ffs, at least have your core mechanics working

Honestly everything about this game feels like an ocean with the depth of a puddle. The least of my complaints is spending hours farming to not even gain a rank in my crafting, let alone a completely different set of ranks to even use the gear. Forced PvP to mine/harvest is asinine, moreso when you lose your gear if you die.

I like everything about this game...on paper. In practice...just a resounding "Meh". Gets a "No" review simply because "meh" isn't an option

I've played a handful of MH games in the past, loved the games just didn't always have the platform to play them. I played MHW on PS4 at release and enjoyed the hell out of it. I wouldn't say this game is 'easier' than previous MH titles, they just removed a lot of the tedious BS from the game so that you can enjoy the meat of the game - the hunting. They just lowered the skill floor so people could actually get into the game before getting murdered outright by delightul stunlock combos.

To the Elephant in the room -

All the complaints are about a DRM (Denuvo) that's meaningless to performance and meaningless when the company using it isn't going to disappear tomorrow need to screw off. It's not like they're owned by EA or anything...Capcom isn't going to dissolve tomorrow and cause the game to be unplayable. Yeah, always-on DRM is a ♥♥♥♥ move, but even Blizzard does it - despite getting roasted alive by the community for it.

Shockingly the connection problems are almost non-existant when I'm hosting my own hunts. People join and stay connected just fine. While I won't say their netcode is perfect, but certainly seems far more stable on a connection that can handle it.

Free weekend play, and I still paid too much. Great game - when it works.

Currently Matchmaking is a joke. Queue with new friends? Get destroyed by topo ranked and high level killers.

Matchmaking also forces everyone to re-ready if the game doesn't instantly match you with other people. Uses the worst implementation of Steam MM API ever - only uses the selected Steam download location (of the person that starts the group) to match you? Basically unless you're set to New York or LA you're humped

Finish a game grouped with friends? Hope you like remaking your group literally every time. Doesn't maintain groups with friends between matches

For a game that recent left Early Access? I can't imagine what demented thought crossed their minds that their game was in any way shape or form ready to be a 1.0 release
