Battle pass and microtransactions in a AAA+ $70 game is a no go.

I'll be honest, the gameplay was never that supremely engaging or overly fun. It wasn't bad and it did everything it could to please you for what it was. But it was rather average at best.

But the art, the characters, and the story was absolutely amazing. It's absolutely worth the play-through on that alone.

Relatively short and just barely a game.

And that's okay. It's more of an interactive story. The purpose being to immerse you more.
It feels odd to praise what was entirely based on someone's suffering and fall. But it's well told.

It's various mechanics make for a good explanation on how various mental health issues feel and what it's like.
For others, it can serve as something to learn from and others, relief in finding someone with similar problems.

Air hockey with cool and cute anime characters that have abilities much like a MOBA.

It hits all the marks of a good game, in my opinion, with a few "It's a beta" excuses sprinkled on top.
When I first heard of the game, it didn't sell me well at all. I was averse to rocket league and sports game in general. Doubly so when it came to esport focused games. But I was pleasantly surprised and how much I enjoy this game. It all just goes together so well.
The music, the characters, the lore, the gameplay loop. And it's free to play.
I've gotten multiple friends to pick it up and encourage people to ply it all the time.

No reason that you shouldn't give it a shot either.

The beta was significantly better, a lot of the changes they made are terrible.

Can't wait to see the full game.

Spent 30 minutes trying to login with no avail, despite correct login information only to get locked out of my microsoft account that now wants my phone number. No thank you. Not worth the effort and pain in the ass.

What you see is what you get and boy is it fun.

A nice game, but it's been abandoned by the developers. What you see is what you get.
