If you make a game like Valorant & CS, don't require me to ADS like CoD.

I want to love this game so bad. Fighting as a gladiator? Check. Action Roguelike? Check. Cool art style? Check. Indie dev? Check. However, I just don't, and it's time for me to realize that I need to uninstall it.

I have tried to get into this game many times, and each time I end up closing the game out because I'm just so frustrated with the combat and mechanics. I feel like I'm fighting with controlling my own character more than I'm actually playing the game. Additionally, it is very hard to get healing in this game. I've never had a run last more than 4-5 battles, I have no idea how people are ever able to reach the 100k gold win condition (there's other win conditions, not just this one, but they all seem impossible to attain, at least to me).

Lastly, one of the new battle modes, called "draft" has a downright terrible design to it. In this battle, you're on an open field and you're fighting in what looks to be a war style battle instead of an arena (the idea that you're drafted for war). You have plenty of allies as well as plenty of enemies in this battle. This is a cool idea and I'm down for it. However, when your allies die, they're gone, they will not respawn. When your enemies die, it will keep respawning them, to the point that it's just you and you're fighting against 4-5+ enemies. Kill one, another respawns. I have no idea if this is a bug or intentional, but it's completely awful to go up against as a player. There's no counter for telling you how many more enemies it will spawn in and how long you have to keep going to win this mode. Completely terrible game design in my opinion, this needs to be changed ASAP.

I sincerely hope the dev sees this and takes my criticisms into account. Again, I really want to love this game. It hits a lot of aspects that I truly love. But the mechanics and game design of the battles just make gameplay unbearable for me.

Get the Invictus Mod, this game is fantastic

Arrowhead, please stop nerfing everything. Just because something is used by lots of people, this doesn't mean it's overpowered. It's really due to the fact that everything else got nerfed so heavily that nothing else is viable.

While the community can be toxic, it is mild compared to league. While not ideal, my advice is to simply mute those people and continue to play regardless.

I like the concept of MOBAs, but I don't like the top-down, bird's eye view, & click to move systems like league and dota. I love Smite's 3rd person view and movement via WASD. Also, I love the mythology concept in Smite and the premise of "Battleground of the Gods".

Smite's best feature that I wish was implemented the same way in every other game is the VGS system. VGS stands for Voice Guided System. It's a preset of commands that allow players to communicate with teammates without actual voice chat or having to type in chat. I can communicate practically anything I need to within 3-4 keystrokes. The best part about this is that if a player speaks a different language, you can still effectively communicate with them. The other cool part about this system is that it uses the voices of the Gods and their various skins (as long as you have purchased the voice pack for that God.)

While I love Smite's skins, the most annoying thing is that you are required to purchase the voice pack separately (per God), the voice doesn't come with the skin itself when you buy it.

This is the best RPG game I have ever played to date.

I love RPG games, this is my first CRPG. The story is amazing and the world is immersive. Every quest has meaning and your choices have large impacts on the world and characters around you. There is FAR more content than I ever imagined there would be when I bought this game. My recommendation to new players would be to take your time and explore the world, don't just rush through the main questline or you will end up missing a lot of content. At the time of writing, I have ~105 hours and I'm just now starting Act 3.

Got this to train for R6: Siege. I played a lot of custom games developed by the community. I just used the game with my steam account.

Well, as of December 4th, 2019, this game isn't even close to the same thing anymore. It has been completely changed, and you are now required to login with some other account. I want my old Kovaak's back.
