Definetly an enjoyable game to keep you busy for like half a day, but don't expect to get days of content out of it.

An underrated gem and you can notice the devs truly care about the game with the content they have created after release (for free!). Definitely would recommend.

There is no real reason for this game to exist. It is a COMPLETE DOWNGRADE with respect to the original. I only see the following 2 improvements:
- The graphics and sounds, which are basically to be expected for a remake anyways. The only downside I could say about this is that some of the lighting is too white, not allowing yo to see models correctly.
- The historical battles, which are a nice refreshing addition to the game and really enjoyable.
That said, both things could've simply been added as addons/dlc of the original!

So, you may ask what is worse here than in the original?
- Stability: I have NEVER crashed in the original, in this game I have crashed multiple times.
- Glitches/bugs: people getting stuck into buildings, units getting stuck behind trees all of the sudden, ships with infinite range, units in limbo between a state of in range and not in range, having them infinitely switch between the two (and never shooting).
- Pathfinding: your units will derp out when moving together, much worse than the original. Boats movement is also horrible in their default movement way.
- AI: The bots bots in skirmishes and missions are TERRIBLE. Barely anything they do makes any sense, they will send you all of their settlers (even more than in the original), they will have enemy units right next to you without them attacking you (unless you attack first).
- Progression: This one may be more subjective, but they removed the leveling progression in multiplayer and have everything unlocked from the start, which is unfortunate.
- UI: Also subjective, but I found the UI of the original to generally be better with some exceptions.
- Cutscenes: All kinds of little details present in the original are omitted.

If I thought about it more I could probably remember more downgrades but I think you get the point. Maybe they should've spent more time on the game instead of making sure they accurately represent indigenous people.

Fun game to spend the afternoon with. I might just suck but I think they got the scaling wrong, as at some points it's just impossible to keep up with the hordes thrown at you, you don't get alot of inbetween time either.

That said, it's a very enjoyable and challenging game with building and strategy so would definetly recommend.

Avoid buying this game here, completely filled with game-breaking glitches and crashes. It actually becomes a chore trying to progress as you have to circumvent every single broken part of the game and boy, there are alot.

If you really plan on playing it I'd recommend buying it of gog, maybe there they atleast sell fixed games.

Very enjoyable, recommending the dwarf for fast explosive gameplay.

I think they absolutely nailed the combat in the game, any grind-fan will love this kind of combat. Those that don't like grind, dont buy the game. For the rest go for it when it's on a sale or something. There also is some replayability for those that like that.

Also, don't buy it for the story as it is 100% cheesy.

The new map thing is quite misleading, 99% of it is reused assests and the 1% are unaccessible doors. You can't reach those big towers either. The weapons are okay but just like the main game missions get repetitive and boring.
