6 hours in and i can already tell this is a 10/10

top tier sonic game for sure

the art style is amazing and gameplay is pretty good for the most part. but, for me at least, the combat system can be a bit infuriating at times and the ending is also a bit mediocre. i also don't like how the stamina system works. you start with a small amount of stamina and through collectibles you find out in the world you get an increase for your stamina to have way more in order to sprint, use gadgets, or attack. but your stamina bar recharges at the same exact rate it does from the beginning of the game throughout the entire game. so it turns into a waiting game for your stamina bar to refill later on in the game. i also don't mind things like new moves/attacks you can use being barred by puzzles or bosses but the health and stamina upgrades are a bit much considering they're not really optional if you want to have a fun time in the game and not get one or two shot later on. you can also really easily get stun-locked later on in the game and there's not much you can do when there's multiple enemies attacking you and you have barely any i frames. i'd give it a 6.8/10. get it if it looks interesting to you but the combat drags the game down a bit

got to the third world and playing this game is such a drag. i'm not gonna waste my time finishing it cause it is not fun it's so tedious and monotonous

amusing for like the first 10 minutes but after that it's boring as hell, don't waste your money
