really scratches the itch for deck building carnage, with an art style I really enjoy seeing over n' over again. difficulty curve is pretty high, been playing this long and only gotten to challenge level 3, might be my fault though x3

Pros-
=Super fast pickup, the game is super simple, you have dice, the dice do things when you put them into equipment, beat the boss at the bottom of three floors.
=Cute artstyle, totally my opinion but I love the designs
=Varied gameplay between each of the characters, with different styles of gameplay to master, and the curve you take can be as gentle a slope as you want
=Rewarding victories!! Beat more characters, get more dice, and it'll only get more and more rewarding from that baseline. Equipment builds made are on the fly, which totally captures the feeling of dice-building games.
Cons
=As a dice game, totally rng based in a literal level. I know that's weird to put as a con, I just think that it's a little hard not to point it out as you can get to the end of a good run and your dice decide to roll low at the worst possible moment, which means that your victories may not in fact, rely on skillful decision making.
=Remember when I said the difficulty ramps up? If you want to play as a different character, you must accept the ramp. Even though each character has pros and cons, it's always going to be more difficult than your default.

An excellent addition to the deck building Genre, you can make a fully functioning deck utilizing any of the four (at this time) champion's unique cardsets. Balancing artifacts vs. building your deck can determine whether or not you truly can.... Slay the Spire 8)

Definite improvement from release, it's now a full fledged, complex space exploration game with it's own specialties dependent on what you want out of it. Wanna be a linguist? Search for ancient artifacts and bribe locals. Wanna be an explorer? Explore and name your own star systems. Want to have space battles? Tune up your ship and take on pirates or friends.
