First game good, second game better

Well written, allows for greater control and agency than any other choose your own adventure game in the same format, and doesn't shy away from or sugar coat the gruesome and uncomfortable endings that comes from the reality of starting an uprising in what is essentially a hegemonic power akin to the Imperial Rome if it had grown through horrific magic.

I have played this game over and over again just to see what's the extent to which I can improve my overall revolt and put myself in a better position for the next game, the writing doesn't get stale as the world itself is enthralling and the weight of every action can be felt when taken.

I have endless praise for this game and hold it as the benchmark for immersive story telling in its medium, when I first played it in 2019 I was frustrated by the amount of negative outcomes and endings but now I still comeback to it even today to revisit the characters I had been so emotionally invested in to warrant such a response.

TL;DR if you want a unique immersive world, the choice of greater agency, a candid story of difficulties of armed resistance and captivating characters, this game is for you.

Yes, just buy it.

I would recommend this game in a heartbeat! I have never seen a more intricate, inclusive, and realistic political RPG with a complex form of government and a great story to go with it to boot!

I love the franchise and the people who converted it from the book as I myself am into RPG especially one which have simplistic mechanics which are easy to get a hold on and it also manages to convey most of its epic moment with just music and I love that about this game series and that also why I will buy the next one. One note though, its mechanic seem to slightly differ from game to game which in my opinion keeps the mechanics fresh but there are some drastic differences in the game in this part but I will say that I do not expect them to keep the mechanics the same as just like the books you won't fully expect what might be in your adventure. I also find the fact that they conveyed how to defeat the Serpent of ******* through a bit of a riddle which starts making you think and do like how it makes you think. Overall my experience of all 3 games were amazing and I can't wait for the next one but if you don't want game that makes you think decisively of what to say what your next move should be, what would be good for me as the character to do and then punishing you harshly for doing something stupid then you probably won't like the game but the best part about the game is that it allows you to go back nothing is permanent if want i to be and that is why I find this game great but its up to you if you want the game or not
