My first Resident Evil game, and it has been a massive blast. One amazing thing about this game is that its artstyle still holds up, even if it was released in 2005. It heavily leans more into the action though, but it's still a little serious with the resource management.

Thing is, action and clunky controls don't blend well together. Leon Kennedy in this game cannot strafe at all, meaning your A and D keys are for turning only. When you aim, you cannot move, only point your mouse. Good thing the enemies here have different reactions to being hit in different limbs, especially and most importantly the head or knees. These let you roundhouse kick or even suplex them. Thankfully I still got used to the controls quickly, and it became smooth sailing from there.

The game takes you to different settings as you go through the chapters, so each major location you go through feels really unique. One thing that stays constant though, is that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome merchant who seems to pop up in a corner, letting you get the gear you need. He even thanks you for buying too, be grateful.

This game will be a massive blast for you to play when you get it, trust me.
