I am sort of mixed about recomending this game to people. On the one hand the story, gameplay, and lore are awsome. On the other hand the game is these days so dated that it barley works, with the game crashing or doing other weird bugs. Plus not actually being designed to even consider a 1080p monitor, and that alone tends to cause the game to have to crunch your screen to fit every time, it does basicly anything, radically lowers the available resolution, and so on.

But on the other hand the game is 10 bucks. And while there is supposed to be a remake at some point it is for console and it may get delayed another decade.

So all told I give this game 7.5/10 and tell you to play it before it breaks more.

Well. This feels like the biggest waste of money ever. I preordered the most expensive version of this game and for my bonus content got this collection of charactors that someone put perhaps 4 hours of work into.
So just don't

This game is pretty good, and perhaps someday we will see if the sequel is good or if paradox will travel further down the path to becoming ea.

Turns out I do not like this game. I suspect others would love it but having died twice trying to simultaniusly loot and sneak at a painfully slow pace I can say that I do not like this game sam I am.

It is not really done yet. At this point the game is basicly just the demo with armor and a couple extra weapons rather than anything like in the trailer. I say let it cook another year or so, or wait for a sale.

Before hand a fair warning if this is your first vr adventure game. This sort of game takes an adjustment period before you can play for more than a half hour or so without vomiting or falling over. It took me about 3 hours over 2 days to make that adjustment.

Blade and sorcery is a very fun little game. I have heard it described as the most violent game ever due to the nature of vr and that is not exactly wrong, as it features violence enough to satisfy the most ardent blood lust. It is immensly fun to run around in and the magic system is while somewhat basic also well thought out.
The story is also very basic meant essentially as a framing device for increasingly difficult enemies to fight.
We also see a certain amount of exploration and items in odd corners around frequent areas.

All told I give this game 9.5/10.

This review has been specificly edited so that people will stop telling my how to get the sword of na. I have now done it totally unlocked all magic on that save so that i am effectivley playing sandbox mode, and started trying out permadeath.

This is the sequel to shadow of mordor and a very fun game all around. A bit heavy on cutscenes but they are at least skipable.
The gameplay for those who have not played the previus game is best described as assasin's creed with magic, and of course whenever you kill the game alters accordingly.
This game is also set more or less immediatly before the fellowship of the rings movie so several plot points sort of drag you along. It is also worth noting that the first few regions become totally inaccessable when you complete the relevent story segment so grabbing all the collectables early is a must.

Mind you my main gripe is that the previus game you spend the entire time carefully upgradeing your sword, bow, and dagger then in this game instead of them being practically legendary weapons they are level 0 equipment to be almost imediatly discarded.

All told a fun and interesting game with cool ideas that no one else has really attempted.
9/10
